Our quiet, peaceful, and secluded guest house lies less than 1/4 mile above Bernardus Lodge (approximately 10 miles from Carmel). It shares no direct sight lines with any neighboring structures. Guests love the views, saying repeatedly that the photos don't do them justice. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you! The guest house is spacious yet cozy for two people at approximately 600 square feet. The bedroom is separate from the open-plan living room w/ dining table and kitchenette. It has beautiful views onto Garland Ranch Park and Garzas Canyon. Scan the valley for soaring hawks, turkey vultures, and many other bird species. Visits from black-tail deer are quite frequent. Bask in all day sun from the south-facing panorama deck view. The guest house is minutes from Leguna Seca (5), Monterey (15-20), Pacific Grove (25), Garland Park (2), Wine Tasting and Carmel-by-the-Sea (10-15). It is approximately 45 minutes to Big Sur. Enjoy all the Monterey Peninsula has to offer or just relax and rest in the sun, fresh air, and gorgeous views from the deck! We look forward to hearing from you! Please make yourself at home! The guest house is all yours :) My parents live in the main house. They will stay out of your way but are very friendly and helpful if you need anything. The guest house is in a private neighborhood. Although it is close to lots of amenities you will feel as if you're perched above the valley in your own special place. You'll definitely need a car! The guest house is very private - it will be unlocked with keys on the entry table when you arrive. The hair dryer should be in the drawer underneath the sink and the iron should be on shelf in the closet. The kitchenette has a basic supply of cooking utensils, pots & pans but if you need anything else for your culinary adventures my parents would be happy to provide it.
