This rustic cabin is the highest cabin in Palisades. Built in 1982, it's a small (900 sq. ft.) summer cabin that sleeps 4 with a kitchenette. A bit rough around the edges but charming. Huge glass doors and 3 decks to enjoy the view. Enjoy the loft with second bedroom, a small couch, TV, stereo, plus many books and maps to inspire your next adventure. Partial updates include new furniture, rugs, new deck, remodeled bathroom, bedroom and additional heating and A/C. Guests have access to the cabin and land within lot boundaries. No trespassing at any other lot or cabin. Shady Lane is used to get to the cabin. It is a steep one lane gravel road and is shared by other residents. I will meet all guests at the bottom of Shady Lane and escort to the cabin upon initial arrival. Due to the nature of our neighborhood I like to be present during guest stays. So I am available to help in anyway. I live 2 lots away and can be of service almost instantly. I’m able to communicate best via Airbnb app messenger (preferred) or text. Our neighborhood is typically quiet during the week. A few locals arrive during the weekends and holidays. We are the last cabins in a sparsely populated summer home area so it feels like you have the place to yourself. However other neighbors may be present. Please be considerate at all times. Every direction from here is incredibly scenic. Suggested itineraries are in the cabin and can help guide your daily adventures. Please add extra time for traffic and road construction. 0 miles to the Snake River Wilderness Study Area. 1 mile to Palisades Reservoir and dam. 47 miles to Jackson, WY. (1 hr) 35 miles to Teton Valley, ID and 45 miles to Teton Pass. (45 min) 142 mi. to Yellowstone National Park West entrance. (2hrs) 57 miles to Grand Teton National Park. (1 1/2 hours) 109 miles to Yellowstone National Park South entrance. (2 hrs) There are restaurants and gas stations within 10 miles of the cabin. Excellent day trips from the cabin to South Yellowstone, GTNP, Teton Range, etc. Nice hot springs, lake and river activities within a very short distance. -- Our cabins are NOT effected by the Teton Pass closure. The steep road to the cabin is committing in both time and effort (10 min drive). We are an additional 14 miles from a grocery store. Please bring groceries for your first visit.
