Van der Ryn Ridge House: Overlooking Tomales Bay.

An hour's drive from the hustle-bustle of the SF Bay area, close to Tomales Bay State Parks and Point Reyes National Seashore, the tastefully furnished and decorated Ridge House, not only boasts an outstanding view but also. a fully stocked kitchen, two large bathrooms, beautiful grounds, many great books, wi-fi, large smart TV, and much more to enjoy and discover. A perfect getaway! The space The Van der Ryn Ridge House is well designed to make maximum use of its location at the edge of a 5-acre parcel overlooking Tomales Bay. It has two large bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom. (one with a large easy walk-in shower with two shower heads, the other with a deep large bath with a shower). The larger of the bedrooms, which is also where a large smart TV is located, has its own sliding glass doors opening out onto the wrap-around deck, which may also be reached by sliding glass doors in the living room and from the dining areas. The kitchen is well stocked with probably all the dishes and utensils a guest may need, plus coffee beans, a coffee bean grinder, a French Press, a wide assortment of teas, virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, organic sugar, and honey, etc. The walls are tastefully decorated with paintings, many of which are watercolors painted by the house's architect. There's a great collection of books to dip into at any time one has the urge. There's central gas heat, plus a wood-burning stove, great in the colder season. Firewood is provided, and your host, Micah, is almost always available to assist or answer questions. Guest access The entire house is for the Ridge House guests, plus the grounds up to the bamboo fence which visually divides the grounds of the Van der Ryn Ridge House from that of the Van der Ryn Eco-Refuge. Larger groups may book both houses, and thereby share the entire grounds.
