Enjoy a stylish holiday at this centrally-located house in Reykjavik 101. Designed by modernist architect Gunnlaugur Halldorsson in 1936, the house is on a beautiful downtown residential street close to the Christ's Church. Note: We have rented out the basement of the house on Airbnb before and the reviews for that can be found under other listings. The space The house is a single family home. The house is laid out as follows. The house sits on a large lot in a quiet street in downtown Reykjavik. The main entrance is on the first floor which houses the kitchen and living and dining rooms plus a guest WC. The main floor is connected to the top floor through a carpeted staircase. The top floor has two bedrooms and a children bedroom and a full bathroom. The basement has an additional bedroom and an office and kitchen plus that it houses storage areas and laundry. There is also a shower and a WC in the basement. The house has a spacious backyard and a nice front yard with a driveway which guests can use to park their car. Guest access Guests can park in the driveway. The neighborhood is downtown Reykjavik so the place is also walkable to all the main sights. Other things to note The house has one master bedroom with a double bed suitable for two. Other bedrooms have a total of three single beds - so the house comfortably houses five people. The house additionally has children beds and a sofa that can be suitable for sleeping - but note that there is an extra charge if guests exceed five persons.
