Description

The Tree Yurt is quite literally a yurt in the trees. Surrounded by nature, this is YEAR ROUND GLAMPING close to Portland. Water for the outdoor shower and outdoor sink is seasonal Typically May through October. We do provide water for colder months. A main house sits closer to the driveway and There is a chance the house and the yurt will be rented out at the same time. The yurt is about 200 feet from the house and the only shared space is the driveway, so it is actually very private :) The space noun: glamping 1. a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping Park in the designated yurt spot in the driveway and follow signs through the woods to the Tree Yurt. Surrounded by nature, get ready to relax and unwind in my glamping spot that's as unique as it is peaceful. Located at the base of the stairs to the left is the fire pit area and to the right the outhouse which houses a dry flush toilet. Although there is seasonal running water, I do provide drinking water and water for dishwashing during the colder months. An outdoor sink and outdoor shower are up and running typically May through October depending on the weather. Be mindful of water usage to conserve resources and extend the shower's duration. Biodegradable soaps and shampoos provided. Please bring your own towels. Up the stairs on the deck is various seating areas and the BBQ grill also the outdoor shower on a corner of the deck. Inside there is a small fridge and another cooktop. A woodstove makes the coziness pop along with comfy bedding and a relaxing atmosphere. As the yurt is insulated and can be used year round, we also provide a monitor heater that heats the whole place if a wood stove is not your thing. Coming soon will be the bridge to the fairy land where kids of all ages can make fairy houses for the woodland creatures. Guest access The TreeYurt areas to available to guests include the yurt and the deck, the firepit area around the bottom of the stairs, the path from the driveway to the yurt, and my backwoods. If you are bringing a dog, it must be on leash or under voice control. Other things to note This is a glamping spot perfect for those who like a little adventure. There is running water in the warmer months typically May through October. In the cold months we provide gallons of drinking water and water for dishwashing. There is an outdoor sink also an outdoor shower which is part solar and part on demand. Please BYOT. Bring your own towel. The TreeYurt is insulated and heated with a woodstove for amazing winter coziness as well as a monitor heater that will heat the yurt no problem. A floor fan and open screened windows help in the heat of the summer. I provide awesome bedding along with tons of pillows and comforters that tie the coziness up in a neat little package. There is a small kitchenette with a small fridge, a cooktop, a toaster oven, pots and pans, utensils and dinnerware, a few tubs for dishwashing, kitchen towels, and a table and chairs. The deck is great for watching the trees sway and grilling on the tabletop bbq grill. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions on how to use it. Although there is NO RUNNING WATER in the colder months, we provide a many gallons of drinking water and washing water for dishes or cleaning. Lastly we do provide some wood for the wood stove inside in the winter months and as a house rule that is not to be burned in the fire pit outside. We do sell bundles of campfire wood for $5/bundle to be burned in the outdoor fire pit. - Dog friendly. Please let me know if you plan to bring a dog. There is an extra fee which is $30 per dog. Dogs must be leashed unless under voice control and not allowed to visit house guests. All poo must be picked up from the yurt path. -Thank you for considering my Treeyurt:)
