Located in a peaceful calm "Housh" (Neighborhood) that is now a UNESCO world heritage site and that is strategic to every Djerbian attraction, Lemkhazen was renovated with a lot of love & attention sticking to its 300 years old history & ready to welcome lovely caring hosts ^^ The space HISTORY: "Lemkhazen" is located in a private "Housh" (Djerbian dialect for "neighborhood" in Arabic) in Khazroun in Midoun, Djerba near the "Fadhloun Mosque" monument. The Housh (neighborhood) along with its houses is nearly 300 years old, housing a lot of big Djerbian families & well known names notably "Barnat", the family name of the owner. ARCHITECTURE: Since it's nearly 300 years old, this villa was initially built with natural industry-free materials like clay, rock & trunks of palm trees. Med Habib BARNAT, the host/owner of Lemkhazen renovated it while paying tribute & sticking to its architectural roots & history which makes it an eco-friendly house with no bricks & no concrete. ++ An advantage of this architecture (Traditional Djerbian architecture) is that the inside stays cold in the heated summer days thanks to its thermally isolating materials, its flashy white walls & its domes that traps hot air and on the other hand, stays warm in cold winter days ! THE POOL: Cozy with in-built stairs, in-built sitting space with 2 hydro massage jets, a gradually sloping bottom reaching 1.80 meters at the very end. Fresh in heated summer days & naturally warm at sunsets thanks to the sun of Djerba & its strategic location in the garden.
