This cozy seaside cottage with sleep loft has the look and feel of an old classic yacht inside with modern amenities. Couples will love the water views, screened porch, gas-wood stove, heated stone floor in cedar bathroom, outdoor shower and patio. Another larger 2 bedroom cottage on property is for rent also for families with younger children. This rental is NOT suitable for toddlers or children under 12 due to the open balconies, railings and narrow spiral staircase to the loft. The space After many years of designing and building this unique maritime sea-side cottage we now enjoy offering it to AirBnB travelers. This is a nature-filled getaway location -- bordered by nature preserves and a tranquil salt water cove. Our 4-acre site is frequented by deer, rabbits, chipmunks, woodchucks, foxes and myriad of birds. Enjoy the private field stone patio and view cove-side sunsets, fireflies and skies that are never the same twice. The cottage interior has a lovely open air design with a sleeping loft and many windows all around providing lots of light and air flow from ocean breezes. If privacy is a concern, this cottage is most ideal for a couple. There is also, a queen-size, pullout sofa downstairs for 2 other guests. There is a spiral staircase up to the sleeping loft which features a great view in every direction, a comfy padded queen-size bed and a small library for guests who love to read. The interior was built by a local yacht cabinet-maker and carpenter -- we personally added the maritime style and details. Very nice quality linens and toiletries are provided, WIFI, cable TV and a bluetooth sound bar. Games, and DVD movies/player also provided. Rain or shine or snow, we are sure you will enjoy this cozy cottage by the sea! Because of risky interior spaces we request children 12 or older only. With the open balconies, railings and narrow spiral staircase to the loft it is dangerous for curious toddlers and youngsters. Guest access There are 3 cottages on the 4-acres and each has its own gas grill and patio furniture. Guests are asked to be respectful of other visitors privacy on the property but are welcome to enjoy the grounds and relax in chairs provided to socialize and take in the spectacular water views from our hillside. Other things to note We just ask all our guests that you leave whatever you use as you found it. Also, although we get many requests to use our property as an event venue, especially weddings, we prefer to keep it a private and serene space and have never allowed an event or party there. Once you see it you will understand the property's delicate nature. “Sea Acres” is a quiet, family-owned private setting and not suited to large groups and lots of cars.
