I enjoy meeting all of my guests and giving them a brief overview of the 'outBACK' Cottage and the neighborhood. We do not live on the property, but I am available by phone or text during your stay. We have a welcome book in the Cottage which lists restaurants, grocery stores, places to see etc. And we have loads of travel guides and info on points of interest in Santa Barbara and the Central Coast. Be sure to take a look! We are within four blocks of State St and two blocks of the Presidio Neighborhood - home to some great restaurants & coffee shops including: Handlebar Coffee Roasters, C'est Cheese, Panino, Playa Azul, Three Pickles, and Zaytoon. Whether you come by car and utilize our on site parking or arrive via train, bus or plane, you can comfortably 'walk Santa Barbara' (up town, down town, funk zone, and the beach zone). Walk score of ‘93’ and bike score of ‘97’! When you first approach 'outBACK' Cottage, you'll see the beautiful hundred-year old oak at the front of the property. A real show stopper! We love the fact that the cottage has also been around for 100+ years and is part of Santa Barbara history. And since we enjoy walking and biking, we are especially pleased that our guests can easily 'walk and bike' Santa Barbara. Best of all, 'outBACK' Cottage is a peaceful oasis in the heart of downtown.
