Welcome to our beautiful piece of lakefront paradise! The perfect place for your next family vacation! Come enjoy our hospitality and “East Coast Lifestyle”. Located on picturesque Porters Lake - the most popular swimming and recreational lake in NS! We’re close to many beaches, grocery/liquor store, cozy cafes, and walking/hiking trails. Come relax on the sandy beach, take a tour on a kayak/paddle board or relax at the fire pit with a glass of wine. NS STR Registration number: STR2425D0943 The space This inviting, cozy lakeside apartment is tastefully decorated and ready for your fun family vacation! Only steps away from the lakeside sandy beach & fire pit, cedar playground and 175 ft of lake waterfront. Come relax at one of the many seating areas located around the spacious property or go on an adventure in a kayak or paddle board (life jackets are provided and mandatory). We have a gradual walkout into the lake making it ideal for children. The water is 'brackish" - mix of salt and fresh water making it great for swimming (no leaches!). We recommend packing water shoes as there are some sharp rocks and shells. We provide yard games like ladder toss and rope toss. You’ll never be bored!! The covered patio area is a great spot to relax in the shade. Curl up with a book in one of the 2 hanging basket chairs or relax and enjoy a nice view of the lake. Each unit has its own private entrance. The patio space and bbq are shared with the other Airbnb. Propane is provided. The modern and bright kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher), coffee maker, convection toaster oven, electric kettle and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. The open concept living room and kitchen area has a beautiful view of lake. The living room has a 40” smart tv with Netflix and cable, books and board games. The stackable washer and dryer are conveniently located in the utility room just off the dining area and stocked with laundry detergent/dryer sheets. The utilty room/laundry facilities are shared with the adjacent unit. The bathroom has a full size bathtub/shower and it’s stocked with fresh towels, facecloths, hand towels, body wash, hair dryer, shampoo & conditioner. The spacious primary bedroom has a king sized bed, walk in closet and a desk /workspace. The second bedroom has a single over double bunk bed. Great for families! Please note - the property consists of 3 separate and self contained units. My family of 3 lives on the main level and there are 2 Airbnbs units on the bottom level. Outdoor amenities are shared with other potential guests and my family. The yard is very spacious with many separate seatings areas and lots of space for everyone! Guest access Enjoy shared access to our beautiful lakeside sandy beach, firepit and wharf. We have 4 resort style loungers on the beach and lots of other seating areas. We have a 12 foot trampoline and a large cedar playground set. The yard is filled with many fun activities and yard games. We have a large propane boiling pot (available upon request) for cooking lobster/seafood outside. There are 2 paddle boards and several kayaks that you’re welcome to use at your own risk. Wearing a life jacket is mandatory. We have a variety of life jackets available for your use. We have a large parking area available to guests to the left as you come down driveway. Designated parking spots with signage for each Airbnb. Other things to note - There's a wide and gradual set of concrete steps and a concrete walkway (no railing) leading to the back of the house and the entrance to the apartment/Airbnb so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. - Our home consists of 3 separate legal units. My family lives on the upper/main level and there are two self contained legal apartments/Airbnbs located on the bottom level. - Please be aware that we live in a rural setting that makes our property spacious and beautiful! You may encounter insects/wildlife (ie mosquitoes, black flies, spiders, ants, ticks, raccoons, etc) so we kindly ask that you understand that we try our best to remove webs and insects when cleaning but they are sometimes quick to return and rebuild.
