Our house, "Abhaile" meaning at home, is a welcoming, bright, warm, newly refurbished house in the colourful and welcoming village of Allihies. It is a 3mins stroll from the village and a 10mins stroll to Ballydonegan Beach. It is well furnished, spacious and will be very comfortable for your stay. From here you can explore and enjoy the beautiful Beara penninsula, Wild Atlantic Way, Dursey and Bere Island and travel the Ring of Kerry. The space Allihies Abhaile is suitable for families, individuals or a group, as it sleeps 9 people comfortably. With four separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a guest toilet, the house will cater well for groups or extended family. Guests are welcome to light the open fire on a cold windy evening or on a sunny evening may enjoy the garden seating area that extends outwards from the kitchen. Interior A cosy living room with double doors to an open bright kitchen which is fully equipped with double doors to a garden and an adjoining utility room. There are four bright spacious bedrooms upstairs, two doubles, one triple and one bunk room, all supplied with bed linen and a generous supply of towels. Environment Allihies Abhaile is a spacious terraced house on the outskirts of Allihies village, is in a very quiet and safe environment. It is directly opposite the Allihies Mine Mountain Engine which makes a stunning nightscape scene. From your front door you may join the Beara Walking Way within 100 meters or commence walking the historic trails of Allihies Mining history...or you may do nothing. The village is well know for its colourful appearance, has a shop, playground, 3 pubs and a restaurant, Mine Museum & cafe. One may visit the nearby Dzoghen Beara Buddhist Retreat Cente & cafe, Castletownbere port with a 9 hole golf course or travel to the neighbouring charming villages of Eyeries, Ardgroom and Glengarriff.
