Star Dance Star Lodge
Star Dance Star Lodge
Description
Welcome to the Star Lodge at Star Dance Ranch - Where the Earth Speaks to You. StarDance is a majestic, gated, 50-acre oasis in Northern New Mexico once known as the “valley without war.” (See Neighborhood) Today, visitors still feel that sense of peace, calling the land “so special it feels like sacred ground” and “one of the best places they’ve ever stayed.” Guests rave about the peace and quiet, the horses, and the kind, responsive hosts who respect your privacy. The space Inside your cozy, pet-friendly home, you’ll find a wood-burning stove to keep you warm and toasty on crisp desert nights, along with a well-equipped kitchen that guests praise for having “everything we needed.” It has a half loft with a king bed, a double bed and a single. Also a bedroom on the bottom floor with a standard bed. The couch in the living room is a futon and can be made up with notice of need given. There is a patio with table and chairs, and a grill for your use. Guest access Each morning, step outside to watch the sunrise illuminate red rock cliffs, or wander a short path to the canyon’s edge with a cup of coffee in hand. The meadow trail leads down into the canyon and to the river which is part of the property. Piñon and Juniper trees dot the high-desert vista, while a river carves its way through the valley below. In spring, wildflowers blanket the hillsides—just one reminder of how nature is continuously renewing itself on this land. Overlooking it all is the Pedernal, a towering mesa formed by volcanic forces and made popular in Georgia Okeefe paintings, and a constant reminder of the fiery, elemental power that shaped this terrain. Other things to note This remote retreat offers a tranquil desert hideaway, perfect for anyone seeking the essence of Northern New Mexico. It’s easy to reach favorite local hikes—like Plaza Blanca or the surrounding canyons—and you can still take day trips to Santa Fe or Taos if you crave a change of pace. But once you settle in, you might find that you “don’t want to leave,” mesmerized by the star-filled skies and the welcoming spirit of the land.
