Cottage in Mountain Grove

Lets be honest, it's all about the waterfront and you're going to love every minute of being surrounded by the beauty of Central Frontenac! Enjoy the clean and clear waters of Lake O'Reilly right from your own private deck with a floating dock and swimming platform. When you want to get out on the water, enjoy access to a paddle boat, 3-person canoe or kayak. When it's time to eat, you'll appreciate the fully equipped kitchen and propane BBQ on the deck to cook all your favourites! The space This quaint and fully functional cottage features sleeping for six: - 1 Bedroom w/ Queen - 1 Bedroom w/ Double - 1 Sunroom w/ Full Sofabed Besides the sleeping quarters, there's an open kitchen/living room and full bathroom with a shower and hot water. In the kitchen you will find everything you'd ever need to make a nice home cooked meal - including an air fryer, expresso maker, rice cooker and even a bread maker! Inside the living room there's a TV with DVD player (some DVD's) and a Bluetooth stereo system to play your tunes while enjoying your favourite drinks or playing some board games (included - Exploding Kittens is one of our favs). In the mornings, enjoy your coffee or tea any way you’d like it (drip, French press or espresso style) and feel free to use any of the beans or grounds found in the cupboards on us as part of your stay. During the day sprawl out anywhere on the 3 tier deck, fully equipped with a propane BBQ, dinner table and outdoor furniture. Relax, read a good book or soak in the spectacular southern views of the lake surrounded by the sights and sounds of various wild life - loons, otters, turtles, etc. On warm sunny days, take a dip in the clean and clear waters or paddle/row your way around on one of the water toys. The water is swimmable right at the beginning of June and onwards. If you are an avid hiker, take note of the many surrounding trails within a 30km radius of the cottage including Bon Echo and Sharbot Lake Provincial Parks. For close proximity there is access to the Trans Canada trail off Frontenac Road as you drive in towards the cottage. At night, there are two areas in which you can have a fire. The first firepit is located on the upper section of the property and is nice to have larger fires and cook things like hot dogs or marshmallows. The second smaller "smokeless" style firepit is located on the rear deck and is augmented with led strung lighting for a more intimate setting - free firewood on site! Welcome to what we like to call the Beyken Lakehouse! Guest access Almost the entire property is accessible to the guests except for the trailer and shed on the upper section of the property and the shed on the lower deck. On the inside of the cottage, there are only a couple of drawers and the wooden fireplace in the corner that are not for use by the guest. Other things to note With the cottages' nestled in location, the last kilometer of the trip will have you going through some dirt roads that have over time developed some ruts and include two smaller hills. We wouldn't recommend a sports car or luxury vehicle make the trek, but any SUV, truck and or normal car will be just fine (Civic, Mazda 3, etc). Garbage and recycling must be sorted and left in the designated garbage/recycling station at the side of the cottage. More instructions will be provided in the guest manual. Although essentials like hand soaps, toilet paper, salt/pepper and things like that are provided; we ask that guest bring their own towels and linens as we are in cottage country and there are no on-site washers and dryers.
