This small building was 100 years ago the hangout of the village with our great-grandfather serving coffee, tsipouro with whatever appetizers there were in season, in a barren place but whatever it produced was and is delicious. The friendly atmosphere was so intense that no one wanted to leave. This aura of hospitality accompanies it to this day, making the visitor feel at home. Although a traditional house, it offers all the comforts: air conditioning, wifi, nespresso coffee machine, hairdryer, TV. The space "To steki" is located in Stavri, on the small square of Agios Nikolaos a beautiful stone church. Easter if unforgetable with the local people siging. The small village although full of local residents in the summer, it is not touristic so a feeling of privacy is well established. Garden furniture is provided to create the desired atmosphere for each guest to enjoy a morning coffee or the afternoon until the sun sets. It can be used all year round, as it has airconditioning. It has a fully equiped kitchen (incl.microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee maschine) and other useful appliances like hairdryer, iron, TV with Netflix. Towels, sheets, shampoo, showergel, toilet paper are provided. There is a mini market about 3,5m away and the nearest town market about 20km in Aeropolis. The nearest restaurant is about 300m away. We strongly recommend Kokorakis' for traditional grilled meat in Stavri and Takis' fish restaurant in Limeni. Do not forget to visit Matapan for a great italian cuisine with a beautiful garden situated in Alyka (call for reservations!). "Kyrimai" restaurant with exclusive cuisine can be found in Gerolimenas. Several bars, restaurants and cafes are situated in the nearby area of Gerolimenas, a small natural.hatbour with the view to the big blue. A little further in the opposite direction is the beautiful Aeropolis, the nearest town for all day and night life, leaving all tastes satisfied. Most beaches in Mesa Mani are stone beaches (not organized) with the exception of Marmari Beach with golden sand and a beach bar. visiting the east side of Prosiliaki (sunside) Mani beached like Porto Kagio, Kotronas and Marathon offer sunbeds and umbrellas, although limited. Other places of interest in the nearby area are Akrotainaron, with one of the most beautiful and very famous for its photographs listing tower. you need to walk about 45 minutes to get there for a great sunset. Gytheion in the northern part with its nice Harbour is a small town built on the sea creating a feeling of being in a film. Do not forget to visit the Museum of Olive in Ancient Sparta. During the summer there are several happenings in the nearby areas so have a look in the webpages of each Dimos (Municipality) to find out more. Other things to note Water is not drinkable so you need to buy water for eating or drinking. Although we take all necessary measures and precautions (pesticide sprays and sulfur etc), as in all stone regions it is not advised to lift or move stones, as insects might hide underneath them and might bite you (scorpions, spiders, or even snakes in the summer). in case of such a bit seek immediate assistance in Aeropolis Health Center, where special doctors can take care of you.
