Stylish two bedroom cottage next to castle

A award winning stylish cottage situated within the shadow of the impressive Norman castle in the picturesque town of Kidwelly. Recently refurbished, come relax in the beautiful interiors with a blend of contemporary and traditional fixtures and finishes. Maybe read a book upstairs in the beautiful lit vaulted living room or perhaps unwind in the enclosed garden under a mature maple tree and gaze at the castle towers. You will find a large entertaining space upstairs consisting of a living and dining room with a vaulted beamed ceiling. This room has great light and although large in size, still maintains that cosy cottage feel which you would expect with views across to the castle. This room also has the famous bubblegum pink WC. Downstairs you will find two double bedrooms with the main bedroom containing a wood burning stove (third bedroom locked for storage). On the ground floor there is a bathroom with a walk in shower and a kitchen which backs the garden. The kitchen has a farm house table for 6 and direct access to the garden through the conservatory patio doors, perfect for those summer barbecues. The cottage has been highly furnished with a stylish twist of traditional and modern aesthetics. The mature cottage garden is peaceful and private, with a secret little wooded area at back (where the chickens live). Other things to note Thank you for booking Little Castle Cottage. Over the last three years, myself and my parents have painstakingly fully refurbished this cottage into the lovely warm home you see today. The cottage has origins from the 1700s. As a thank you gesture for booking with us, we will welcome you with a little hamper to kick start your holiday. We will also provide a complementary bag of wood and coal for the bedroom stove (£5 per additional bag). I really hope you enjoy staying at the cottage as much as we do. Please note the jacuzzi is a inflated ‘lay Z spa’ and we will briefly show you the operating instructions on arrival. Unfortunately the property isn’t suitable for young children or pets. We have two rescue hens which we keep at the back of the garden in a run. In the morning and evening we will require access through the side gate to feed and water the hens. We don’t require house access and we will respect your privacy and be as quick as possible. These ladies are enjoying their retirement and you are welcome to any eggs they may lay. Please be careful when using the staircase, this property is old and the staircase is steeper than modern staircases. There is also a small step down to the master bedroom. Please note as this a home and not a holiday cottage you will find personal items on display or stored away but does add that personal touch to your stay.
