The space Howqua House is a two-bedroom, split-level home that comfortably sleeps 2–6 guests. Inside and out, the space is designed for comfort, connection, and immersion in nature. 🛏 Bedrooms • Main bedroom: Queen-sized bed, wardrobe with hanging space, side tables, and wall-mounted dimmer lights for bedtime reading • Second bedroom: Double bed + king single bunk, plus a dressing table with 6 drawers — ideal for kids, friends, or a second couple ❄️ Climate Comfort • Split-system air-con in the living area and both bedrooms (cooling & heating) • Wood fire with firewood supplied (for first 1-2 nights) — perfect for movie nights, red wine, and a cheese platter in winter 🍽 Kitchen & Living • Fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials • Indoor table seats 4 (extra chairs available if needed) • Large, comfy couch facing the wood fire 🚿 Bathroom • Shower with premium Australian-made Thankyou Body & Hair products ⸻ 🌿 Outdoor Living Step onto the expansive balcony nestled among the trees — it seats 8 and is the perfect spot to enjoy mountain views, glimpses of boats on the lake, and your morning cuppa or evening wine. The large private garden is ideal for relaxed outdoor living: • Picnic table • Outdoor mud kitchen for kids to get messy • Surrounded by bush and beautiful blue box gums — perfect for games, lunch outside, or a lazy afternoon in nature 🐾 Please note: the garden is not fully enclosed — it may not suit dogs that tend to wander. ⸻ 🧺 One-time Cleaning & Linen Fee The cleaning fee covers a professional clean and freshly laundered, hotel-quality linen — washed just for your stay. It’s a once-per-stay fee — so the longer you stay, the better the value. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire house and private garden. Included for your comfort and convenience: • Quality bed linens and towels • Fully equipped kitchen with spices, oils, cooking utensils, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, electric oven and stovetop, microwave, and fridge/freezer • Dining table seating 4 comfortably (plus 2 additional seats if needed) • Outdoor balcony table seating 8 comfortably, complete with a gas BBQ • Cozy lounge with TV (including Chromecast) and a wood fire (wood supplied for first 1–2 nights) • Bathroom with a hot shower • Premium Australian-made Thankyou Body & Hair products • Separate toilets — one indoors and one outdoors • Large, private outdoor garden with off-street parking • Electric vehicle (EV) charger available on-site Pets: Well-behaved, toilet-trained pets are considered with prior written approval from the property manager. Please note the garden is not fully fenced. Note: Lake Eildon is a water storage facility, so water levels can vary seasonally. You can check current water levels on the Goulburn Murray Water website. Other things to note Local Area • Within walking distance to Lake Eildon, perfect for picnics, boating, fishing, kayaking, and bike riding. • Mansfield is just a 20-minute drive and offers a variety of wonderful cafes, shops, and restaurants, plus live music, a farmers market, Delatite Winery, the Armchair Cinema, mini golf, festivals, Mansfield Zoo, supermarkets, Mansfield Botanic Park with a nature playground, and the Great Victorian Rail Trail. • Jamieson is only 10 minutes by car and features charming cafes, Jamieson Brewery, playgrounds, swimming and kayaking in the Jamieson and Goulburn rivers, and scenic self-guided historical walks. • Other local attractions include the High Country Maze, horse riding, bushwalking, fishing, boating, 4WD tracks, and helicopter charters.
