Bright flat in the heart of Leith
Bright flat in the heart of Leith
Description
Right the heart of Leith (recently named the worlds 4th coolest neighbourhood), this flat is flooded with light and has an open view across Leith to Fife. Kitted out with everything you need to stay, cook, relax and enjoy Edinburgh. The bus stop is 3 minutes walk away and you can reach the royal mile and princes street within 15 minutes. In April there will be a new tram service 3 minutes from the flat to link to the airport and the murrayfield stadium for sporting events and concerts. The space Although it is in the middle of vibrant Leith, my flat faces away from any main roads and is a restful and quiet place to stay. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable with blackout curtains to ensure a good night’s rest. The natural light from the window and a large dressing table & mirror provide a perfect space to get yourself ready for a day or night exploring Edinburgh. The kitchen-living area has modern and bright decor to compliment the view and sunset you can enjoy here. A large corner sofa completes this room and is super comfy for watching TV and relaxing. The kitchen has modern appliances and high quality equipment for cooking and dining. A utility room provides facilities for washing clothes. The box room can be used as a dedicated workspace with a desk and computer monitor to connect a laptop to (connecting cables provided). If you have extra luggage or bikes they can also be stored in here. All the art in the flat is from local Leith artists or small businesses from my family’s hometown in Northern Ireland. Newly installed insulation to the external walls and bedroom combined with gas central heating with a smart thermostat ensure you will be warm even on Scotland’s chilliest days. The bathroom has a high pressure shower, toilet and sink with a large mirror and heated towel rail. I provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and hand soaps as standard. Toiletries all come from local Scottish suppliers. Other things to note Although in the city centre, you can access Scotland’s hills and loch’s easily from Edinburgh. If you need ideas or outdoor equipment I may be able to advise and loan you the right kit as I’m a keen walker, skier and cyclist. There is a public swimming pool and gym across the road which is open to anyone for a small fee. Affordable supermarkets Aldi, Tesco, and Lidl are in the vicinity. On Saturday mornings there is the Leith market for picking up local produce and gifts.
