Built in 1928, this immaculate period home set on 1.3 acres of exquisitely maintained gardens offers the opportunity to experience a part of Bendigo's unique history. Your own private sanctuary only a 10 minute walk to the CBD, and close to all local attractions. Take a stroll around the gardens, or pull up a chair on one of the verandahs and just relax. The garden and house is secured by a high brick fence ensuring your privacy. Plenty of on-site parking, and drive through electric entry gates. The space There are 4 bedrooms including 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a room with 2 single beds, and another with a bunk bed. There is a large formal dining room with seating for 10 people, kitchen with a gas cooktop, dishwasher, microwave and 2 ovens, a formal sitting room and a sunroom or a playroom for the kids. The laundry has a gas dryer and a Smeg washing machine which will be ideal for longer stays. The house has hydronic heating plumbed through and is very comfortable in the colder months. There are hydronic heated towel racks in all bathrooms. The double brick, portable air conditioners and high ceilings helps keep the house cool in summer. Flood lighting with motion detectors secure the outdoor areas at night. The property boasts a small orchard with 24 fruit trees including pomegranite, fig and king white Tibetan mulberry which guests are welcome to harvest and take home when they are in season. There are 86 heads of roses lining the driveway. The main bathroom which has an ensuite entrance to the main bedroom has a modern bath and shower. The second bathroom has a shower and toilet and is combined with the laundry. The large undercover verandah wraps around 3 sides of the house and is accessed by a grand marble staircase at the front of the house. There is a large grassy area which was a grass tennis court previously and this can be used as an enclosed dog run or if you would like to pitch your own tent for additional guests at a small fee. There is space at the front of the house to park your caravan off the street and a heated workmans toilet that has its own seperate entrance if you are camping on site. Guest access You will have the whole house to yourself with electronic keyless entry for self check in. There are two electric gates into the property which can be sealed for privacy and to keep pets in. The remote control for these gates is provided at check in. Other things to note The property is pet friendly. There is 3 phase power to the house and a tesla charger is located onsite and free to use for guests.
