Longhouse Hen Dy Grade 2 Listed, Elan Valley
Description
Hen Dy, sleeping six people, is the upper section of the Grade II* listed Llannerch y Cawr Longhouse from the 16th Century. Restored in 1999 and history-rich, it retains traditional features and is one of two semi-detached self-catered units. With cobbled and flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and a big inglenook fireplace, it offers a cosy, off-grid, rural stay. Comprises a double bedroom, one twin and a double bed settee in the lounge. Note the uneven floor and potential bat noise in summer. Other things to note During July and August, the bats can be very disruptive, with scratching noises and lots of too-ing and fro-ing.
