The Snowy River Homestead is a 4 stars country retreat. We have 4 individual king size rooms in an established BnB hotel setting. This listing is for: ROOM: King size bed in a large room with Ensuite Bathroom Breakfast : Continental breakfast is included which is self serve. The room has essential modcom such as fridge, TV, air conditioner or reversible heater, tea/coffee & milk, electric jug and in-room mini bar. The property has 360° stunning views and overlooks the Orbost River Valley. The space This listing is for the king sized bed in a large room with its own private ensuite bathroom. Due to Covid-19, our place is self-checkin and self-serve with minimum staff contact. We want to keep you and our staff safe. ******* WHAT WE PROVIDE ******* We provide complimentary wifi, free car parking, fresh bed linen washed at 60 degrees cycle, ironed and your bed is fully made up for your stay. We provide full set of fresh towels. We ensure comfort for your bed by topping with high end mattress topper and protector. We include shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath gel and body lotion. We also have mini bar fridge in the room, electric water boiling jug, tea/coffee making utilities. There is reversible air-conditioning/ heating system, TV, hair dryer and alarm clock in the room. There is a small kitchen with cooktops available for guests to use. ********* Breakfast ********** Complimentary continental breakfast for two is included which is self serve. Your breakfast will be setup in a basket that includes milk packets, juice packets, mini yoghurt, fruit cups, muffin, cereal, bread, jam, butter, baked beans and eggs. Also included is ground coffee plunger, teapots and tea. Your complimentary breakfast is priced at $10 per person. Should you prefer to opt out of our breakfast, please request for a refund of $10 per person. If you are already at the property, do NOT consume anything from our breakfast basket and other available items when you request for refund. WANT A FULL COOKED BREAKFAST? Let us know, and we will request $30 per person extra that will include your complimentary breakfast plus a hot plate with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 1 sausage, 1 hashbrown, sauteed spinach, grilled tomatoes, grilled mushroom and smashed avacado. ********* ABOUT US ********* The Snowy River Homestead is a historic property c1891 originally built on the river flatlands. It has been extended and renovated over the years and is currently owner occupied. The Bed and Breakfast is a separate wing to the homestead and was built 15 years ago and blends in well with the original building with the same colonial heritage style. The property is conveniently located 5km from Orbost town. There are cafes, pubs, shops, supermarket, pharmacy and bakeries for convenience. The location is very peaceful and boasts an abundance of bird life. You are very likely to sight and hear Kookaburra's sing. And sight Australian king parrots, red and blue Rosella parrots, superb fairy wren and many more. Sheeps also graze in our homestead paddocks and are a delight for kids. We also have a pitfire in the grounds and guests are allowed to light a fire and sit around with marshmallows in cooler temperatures. Firewood is not supplied but can be purchased from the service station 1km down the road. Adjacent to the BnB is the Snowy River Railtrail which is a hot spot for cyclists. The Railtrail extends 100km and forms part of the East Gippsland Rail Trail which starts in Orbost and ends in Bairnsdale. There is a walkway sign on our property for Echidna walking trail. However, this trail is council managed and is not in good state. If you wish to take the walk, please use the road outside the driveway entrance. If you turn right, you will walk to "Old Coach Road" that will take you to the start of the rail bridge. We also have a local clay shop on the premises that sells handmade jewellery and original art and prints. Some local attractions includes visting the Cape Conran Coastal Beach, Marlo, Frenches Narrows Coastal Walk, Buchan Caves, Lakes Entrance and Lake Tyres Beach. All are accessible within 30-40 minutes drive from Snowy River Homestead. ------- NOTE : We allow kids on the property. Parents please note, we do not provide portacot so please bring your own. We do not allow pets. Snowy River Homestead is a country property and we request you to keep the door closed at all times to stop any bugs and pests from entering in the room for your safety. Guest access Guests can use Kurrajong Room which is a separate dining and kitchen area. Other things to note Self checkin instructions will be provided once booking is confirmed, on your arrival date
