Desert Vista Cozy Guesthouse

The house is in a scenic setting for star gazing, hiking, offroading, or racing. Easy access to 14 freeway for commuting. Private clean space is a great alternative to camping or city life. It is especially awesome with all of the amenities for a longer term stay. Enjoy the best view of the valley where wildflowers bloom, joshua trees stand tall, jackrabbits and cottontails roam, and hawks and quail soar through the skies. The space The house is tucked near the hills with a beautiful view and protection from the wind. The house has one bedroom, one bathroom with a full size shower (no bathtub), and a kitchen. There are doors that separate each area. Each room has a lighted ceiling fan. Basic linens, towels, and dishes are furnished. The kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, cutting boards, pots, and pans to prepare simple meals. The house has central heat and hot water and in the summer a window unit air conditioner is installed in the bedroom. The climate is very harsh here but the house is decently insulated. However, please do not expect to be icy cool on a Mojave summer afternoon. Guest access Guests will have the entire guest house to themselves during their stay. The attached garage is reserved for the owner's use, please do not access without permission. Other things to note No smoking or smoked materials are allowed inside the house. Be respectful with odors as it is a small space. There are barrels with lids located next to the house for you to dispose of your trash and plastic/glass bottles for recycling. We empty them biweekly or as needed. Let us know if they are approaching full. We love all the critters but want to ensure we can accommodate your pet or support pet safely prior to your booking. We do have an adjacent fenced area if your pet plays well with others. Please reach out as we are happy to discuss our concerns to help you decide. Cleaning supplies are provided. Close the windows when gone to reduce the accumulation of blowing dust. Long term guests are expected to keep up the house in good clean condition. Use wood soap and avoid using water on wooden bedroom flooring. Alternatively, arrangements for biweekly or monthly cleaning can be provided at an additional charge. Conserve water as California suffers from drought and our local water table is still declining. We are rural and so pay premium for our utility services, so please conserve electricity and propane usage. We have internet service and WiFi but it's basic. Do not access the garage.
