The Marcell Lodge is a restored 2,500 sq ft 4 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin that is on the National Register of Historic Places. This unique, elegant, and beautiful lodge has a full kitchen, air conditioning, 3 levels, large indoor porch, private dock, swimming area, 2 bathrooms, laundry machines, and a very large great room! The Lodge is in a private setting but is located on the site of the Edge of the Wilderness Discovery Center so you are in close walking distance from a picnic shelter, interpretive trail, other historic buildings, a fishing pier, outdoor amphitheater, and the Discovery Center itself which includes modern interpretive displays, a gift shop, and environmental education programs throughout the summer. The Marcell Lodge also connects to the sidewalk system which leads to various businesses in Marcell and the Marcell Recreation Area which has a playground, tennis courts, and a paved trail.
