A beautiful country house in a peaceful oasis

Our characterful house is ideally located in a quiet area, surrounded by nature, between the ocean and picturesque villages. The house is spacious, equipped with all the necessary comforts, and offers access to a large garden with a swimming pool. You are only half an hour away from the ocean, several lakes, forests, etc. Nearby, you can discover many of the treasures of this beautiful region. The accommodation is equipped for 4 to 6 people. The space The gîte is part of the Maison Colvert, a charming 1900' house situated on the edge of the forest, and has its own garden and terrace so that you can enjoy the outdoors in complete privacy. The house is only five minutes from the centre of a small town with all the amenities you will need including, supermarkets, bakery, pharmacy, etc. The region has something for everyone. As a cyclist or hiker, you can explore some of the many cycle tracks and hiking trails that cross the great Landes de Gascogne Forest. For those who prefer the water, there are a series of lakes in the region for water sports including windsurfing and kayaking. The beautiful sandy beaches of the Côte d'Argent will charm both sunbathers and surfers. Your host, as a surf instructor, can help guide you to the best spots to catch waves. Would you rather have a day of culture/architecture/shopping/etc.? In the vicinity of our lovely holiday home, there are several historic towns and picturesque villages that will appeal to you. Cities such as Bordeaux and San Sebastian are perfect for a day trip. The Arcachon basin and the Dune du Pyla - the highest dune in Europe - are just an hour's drive from Luë. Just coming to relax? Find your spot by the pool, in one of the seats on the gîte's terrace, or under the shade of a tree. The gîte has a spacious and bright living room with a wood-burning stove and kitchen with access to the terrace and garden. It has a separate entrance with its own living room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with shower and washbasin, separate toilet, laundry room with washing machine, dryer and washbasin. Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms. One with two single beds that can be converted into a 160 cm double bed and a large bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, an extra bed (90 or 160 cm) and, if required, a cot. Guest access The holiday home has a large terrace facing southwest with a cosy sitting area, a dining table, and a barbecue. There is a communal swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds and parasols. There is a large fenced garden with a trampoline. Shops and restaurants are within a 15 km radius, so a car is recommended. Other things to note Bed, bath, and kitchen linen are included in the price. Please provide your own towels for the pool or beach. Final cleaning is not included and costs 60 EUR/stay. We kindly ask our guests to leave the holiday home "clean&", i.e. swept, tidy, with fridge and dishwasher emptied, rubbish sorted into the appropriate bags, barbecue and wood burner cleaned.
