Five Oaks Cabin at The Woods Resort

Get away without going far at our cozy, colorful, family-friendly cabin. Watch the sunset over the woods from the deck, stargaze by the A-frame window, or play ping-pong in our games room. Do some work in our office space overlooking the trees. Enjoy golf, pools, the spa, hiking and fishing, or explore the beautiful countryside of rural West Virginia. Best of all, our cabin is less than two-hours drive from D.C. and Baltimore, so you can feel like you're far away without a long drive. The space We designed this space to be bright but cozy, perfect for families or groups of friends to relax and have fun together. Unlike many Airbnbs, which are owned by companies, we bought and designed this space for our own family. We personally stay here regularly, and we hope it will feel like a home away from home for you like it does for us! On the main level, you’ll find a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, plus a second bedroom with a full bed and a twin daybed over a twin trundle. There's also a spacious kitchen and dining room, living room, and a large bathroom with a shower and tub. There’s also a separate office space where you can get some work done while you’re away. From this floor, you can access the screened porch and deck overlooking the woods. Upstairs, you'll find a loft bedroom with a queen bed and twin bed and ensuite bathroom. We've converted the detached garage to a games room, complete with a ping pong table, darts, and a custom built-in bar. There is also a firepit and outdoor grill for guests to use. Guest access Guests have full access to all of the amenities of our cabin, plus use of the community fishing and hiking trails. Guests may purchase one-day pool/gym passes from us at cost. As of May 2025, the cost is $7.50 each, but please confirm as the pricing changes if resort rates go up. Please request passes at least 24 hours before you need them. Guests ages 4 and under do not need a pass to use the pool when accompanied by an adult. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult when using the resort facilities. Guests can also golf at The Woods Resort or use the spa for an additional fee (please visit the website directly to book a tee time or spa appointment). Other things to note We only accept bookings from guests with government IDs on their profiles, so please make sure you've uploaded your ID before requesting to book. Please note that the garage game room is not heated or air conditioned, so please plan accordingly during winter and summer. For the safety of our home, guests are not permitted to use the indoor fireplace, but may use the outdoor firepit (you can pick up firewood at the nearby grocery store). Since our house sits on a hill, the fenced yard is suitable for pets to roam and do their business, but is not a backyard with grass. The firepit area is outside of the fenced area. Let us know at least 24 hours in advance if your group would like to purchase additional pool passes.
