If you are looking for a quiet, cosy and stylish hideaway located above the beach with stunning sea views nearby then the Oystercatcher Pod is your ideal holiday base. Located in the township of Fiscavaig, on the beautiful Isle of Skye, the Oystercatcher is well equipped, with an enclosed garden and we also welcome well behaved pets. Situated above pretty Fiscavaig Bay with direct access to the beach through our croft and close to popular attractions the Talisker Distillery and the Fairy Pools. The space The Oystercatcher Pod is located in the rural township of Fiscavaig on the Isle of Skye, close to attractions such as the Talisker Distillery and the Fairy Pools. The pod itself is located in our garden, with its own enclosed space, situated just above beautiful Fiscavaig Bay. There is direct access to the beach through our croft. We are a 50 minute drive from the Skye Bridge and around a 40 minute drive from the island capital, Portree. Fiscavaig is situated on the west of the island and is in a more rural location, perfect for soaking in the peace and quiet after a long day exploring the island. We welcome well behaved dogs and even leave a dog bowl, poo bags and treats for our guests furry friends. The pod comfortably sleeps 2 but there is a sofa bed in the lounge which sleeps 1 additional person. There is parking for 1 car outside our house. Description of Pod - The pod comes with WiFi and underfloor heating throughout. There is a lounge area with corner sofa, smart tv, alexa speaker and dining table and chairs. There is a comfy double bed with clothes rail in the bedroom area. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is a kitchenette kitted out with oven and hob, fridge, belfast sink, toaster, kettle, Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine, microwave, cutlery, crockery, cookware and glassware. We provide teatowels, oven gloves, kitchen cloths, cleaning supplies and washing up liquid. We also leave guests a supply of tea, coffee, coffee pods, sugar and some other goodies too to get you started. There is a shower room with good sized shower, toilet, heated towel rail and wash basin. We provide guests with hand soap, hand lotion, toilet roll, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and also a bath mat. There is outdoor seating to enjoy the stunning views and there is a fence all the way around the pod to give guests complete privacy. If you are a keen photographer bring your camera as you can capture the most beautiful sunsets here. We are also lucky enough to have wildife such as dolphins, porpoises, buzzards, eagles and the odd sea eagle in the area. Bring your fishing rod with you as there are a few good spot to cast off from - just ask! The pod itself is named after the colourful seabirds we often see on the shore below the pod.
