The Monarch Respite: A quiet and comfortable home

A comfortable centrally located two bedroom home. Has all you need after a long day at Joshua Tree National Park. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Enjoy a back yard full of native and flowering trees - home for pollinators and birds. Cool off in the saltwater clawfoot bathtub under the stars outside- or in the large vintage bathtub inside after visiting Jumbo or BIG Rock. Spacious, great view from both bedrooms to the back yard, with a shady pergola, hammock and amenities. The space The home features a master bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, lots of open closet space and a cooling air conditioner (and a personal humidifier to help keep your hair and skin moisturized) with cool ceramic flooring to give your feet a rest from the hot hiking and climbing gear. The bathroom still holds the vintage bathtub with modern ceramic tiles to enhance the look and a good size window facing our beautiful cottonwood , eucalyptus and flowering trees and shrubs. The second bedroom features a super comfortable organic cotton queen size bed with microfiber sheets that keep you cool and give you a great night’s rest with lots of pillows and a beautiful view of the garden beyond. The kitchen was recently upgraded with a look to maintain as much of the original as possible with new butcher block countertops, a deep stainless steel sink, a large stainless steel fridge with double filtered cold water and ice instantly available at all times. We also have 5 gallon reverse osmosis water available for those who prefer that extra special touch. The living room has a central mini-split to cool off the entire front quickly and effortlessly. The home features a 32 inch flat-screen tv, a variety of games and super fast internet. We are artists so the home is full of custom art from local and international master artists and other paraphernalia we have picked up in our travels. We have left this home the way we would love to find it upon our arrival after a long day, with snacks, coffee and tea service, as well as basic toiletries and yummy lathering soaps and oils for your pleasure! It is our little bit of heaven to share with you while we all work together to help save the monarchs and pollinators who find refuge here just like us in the hot days of summer! Other things to note Pets are allowed for a fee per pet, and the back yard has been made to be safe from many ordinary predators but we do have many hawks and sometimes owls as well as bats so please do not leave small dogs or pets unattended outside. Please make sure all clothing and light items are weighed down with rocks in the back yard as the wind picks up fast and things tend to fly away! Electric car? You can bring your own 110 plug charger to charge inside our garage! Brand new washer and dryer and cold water and ice in premium fridge for all your needs. We have vintage records and plenty of board games and puzzles . Set up with easy to use Roku. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, even a pressure cooker and all kinds of cooking and baking items as well as all you would need for basic cooking including spices and oil and vinegar plates, glasses. cups and service for margaritas!
