There is a bus stop , a place to rent a vehicle, a gas station, free parking, mini markets, an ATM and a pharmacy located nearby. The space Our recently renovated house combines the traditional Cycladic style with all the modern comforts, where you can enjoy your stay at a relaxing, sophisticated environment, away from the masses. Liasto offers a spacious private sun Terrace, with majestic view of the island and breathtaking sunsets. The interior of the house is elegantly decorated with handmade wood-curved furniture, restored by the artist K. Zachariou, known for his artistic work in temples and churches. The bedroom is equipped with a premium Double Bed for top sleeping experience, 1 Single Sofa-bed, 1 WC with Shower, a Living Room with fully equipped Kitchen ( Electric Cook-top, Refrigerator, Coffee machine, boiler, kitchen utensils). Guest access Due to Pyrgos' traditional construction, the only way to access Liasto is 5 min walking stairs. Therefore traveling light , if possible, is suggested. Also, for the reasons mentioned above, this residence might be inappropriate for persons with mobility limitations. Other things to note And a little story of the house Liasto for history lovers... “Liasto” means “sun-dried” and also refers to sweet wines traditionally produced in Santorini. The name indicates the practice of sun-drying the grapes after the harvest. My great grand mother used to lay out the grapes in the terrace to dry, for the purpose of making wine for the family. The most famous Santorinian wine produced with this technique is Vinsanto. “Liasto” also means “sunny” in Greek slang. You can enjoy the magical sunset, drinking Vinsanto, imagining that many years ago this very same terrace was full of grapes, enjoying the sun just like you!
