We are delighted to offer you a private bedroom, en-suite bathroom, private dining room & spacious private living room in our beautiful family home, ‘Loughview’… a three storey Victorian terrace, on the edge of Bangor where we live with our son and friendly dog Luna. Our house has stunning panoramic sea views over Belfast Lough. The space Our open plan living and dining rooms are private for your use and are located on the ground floor, just off the entrance hall. The living room has a beautiful bay window and boasts stunning views towards Bangor Marina and of Belfast Lough. You are welcome to relax here on our two leather sofas and armchair and enjoy the sunset or tune into the TV. The open plan aspect links to a large dining room with a six seater table and views out to our back patio area. There is a self service continental breakfast (bread, cereal, milk, fruit juice, yoghurts) in the dining room and you will also have the use of a small fridge, toaster and microwave. The guest room is on the first floor and has restored wooden floorboards; an antique wardrobe and dressing table; a Parker Knoll chair and a double bed. There is also a spacious, private en-suite with a toilet, sink and shower. There is a kettle in the bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities. Just beside the bedroom is a 'book nook' with a cosy armchair and a personal collection of books for your perusal. Weather permitting, you may soak up the sea views on lounge chairs in our private front garden patio area. *** Please note: we can accommodate one extra guest at an additional charge per night on a sofa bed in the living room.*** Guest access The ground floor living/dining room is your private lounge space. You may also relax in the front enclosed garden area overlooking Belfast Lough. The back yard area is private. On the first floor you will find your double guest bedroom, private en-suite and a landing ‘book nook’ area. During your stay We are both teachers (an artist and musician/writer in our spare time), so will be available at the house in the late afternoons/evenings, weekends and school holidays. We can be contacted anytime via mobile or email and will arrange check in and check out details upon booking. Other things to note Bangor is a great seaside town with a large, impressive marina. Throughout the year Bangor hosts many festivals, from art, music and food to maritime. Sailing competitions and regattas are are often hosted nearby. The town also has Aurora, Northern Ireland’s Olympic sized swimming pool; two busy yacht clubs: Ballyholme and the Royal Yacht Club and numerous golf courses. We are within easy travelling (by car, train, bus or taxi) distance from Belfast where you can explore many exciting attractions including, The Titanic Museum; the Ulster Museum; the MAC theatre and art gallery; St George’s Market and many excellent pubs, restaurants and shops. From Belfast, the north coast is just over an hour away. Here you can explore stunning beaches; The Giant’s Causeway; Dunluce Castle and many more National Trust sites. County Down also boasts many National Trust sites, including Mount Stewart; Castle Ward; Strangford Lough and the Castle Espies Wetland Centre. We are situated on the Mourne Coastal Route and the magical Mourne Mountains are just an hour’s drive away. The Ards Peninsula is on our doorstep and includes some lovely coastal towns and a beautiful, rugged coastline to explore.
