Welcome to the Rominger House, our charming and historic California bungalow, just one mile away from the happiest place on earth - Disneyland! This beautifully restored early 20th century craftsman home boasts three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, providing comfortable accommodations for up to nine guests. The space The bungalow features a private gated yard, complete with an outdoor playset and a lush lawn - perfect for kids and adults alike to enjoy. There's also an outdoor pergola with a dining table and BBQ, ideal for al fresco meals and gatherings with friends and family and watching the nightly fireworks from Disneyland. Inside, the bungalow offers plenty of entertainment options, with a large game room with TV, Ping Pong and a Poker Table located in the garage. And when it's time to relax, the new central air conditioning in the home will keep you cool and comfortable. In addition to its proximity to Disneyland, the bungalow is also conveniently located just three miles away from Knotts Berry Farm, 32 miles from Universal Studios Hollywood, and 27 miles from Sunset Beach. There are also plenty of amazing restaurants, shops, and other attractions in the surrounding area. A digital home guide and house manual will be emailed and texted to you a few days prior to your arrival. We live very close by and will be your silent hosts. Please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know if you need anything at all. The home is located just over a mile from everything Disneyland! Restaurants and shopping abound, don't hesitate to ask us for any local recommendations or take a look at our digital home guide for suggestions. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am, please respect our neighbors! This home is pet friendly and we will happily accommodate your furry friends. Here are the rules. Please indicate when booking that you are bringing pets and how many. We charge a $25 per pet, per night fee for pets. All pets must be kenneled if you plan to leave them at the home without supervision. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. You are responsible for picking up after your pet. If our cleaning crew has to pick up messes in the home or outside the home on the property, you will be charged a minimum $200 additional cleaning fee. All animals must be disclosed prior to your stay. Service animals are welcome but they must be disclosed ahead of time and documentation provided if required. If it is found that you bring a pet without notifying us (even service animals) you will be charged $50 per night per furry family member. Please report any damage a pet is responsible for immediately so we can resolve it immediately. You have chosen a home that has been designated as historically significant to the city of Anaheim. Known as "The Rominger House", the home was taken down to its frame and completely remodeled inside and out in 2013 with new plumbing, electrical, roof, a new kitchen as well as a major addition of the master bedroom and garage area. It is currently the 2nd oldest standing structure in Anaheim and the former home of a participant in what would come to be Disney history. The Rominger family built the home as the caretakers house for a large citrus farm that once occupied most of this area. The home is the only thing standing from that time and that farm with one exception. About ½ mile north of our house on West Street is a huge Fig tree, that was planted by the caretakers of the citrus farm. This family immigrated from New Zealand in the early 1900's to start a nursery. That nursery supplied many of the original citrus trees in this area as well as the saplings that became two enormous fig trees, one of which is the tree on West.. This is the tree that inspired Walt Disney to build the Robinson (Now Tarzan) Tree-House in Disneyland Park. The fig trees were planted around the year 1915. Take note of the historic designation plaque next to the front door. BEDROOMS & SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Primary Suite: King Bed with Ensuite Bathroom and large Walk in closet that many use as a nursery. Guest Bedroom 1: Queen Bed Guest Bedroom 2: Twin / Full bunk with Twin Trundle and toddler bed MODERN CONVENIENCES: A full size washer and dryer are conveniently located just outside the Primary Suite. A generous fully equipped kitchen features an island, fridge, Professional 36" Gas oven/range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Coffee Service and many other amenities. If you are looking for something specific, please do not hesitate to ask as we likely have it in stock in the kitchen. The cabinets and pantry are stocked with cooking essentials and service for up to 10 guests. The large dining room table is set next to the kitchen area. The dining room table seats 6 and the large kitchen island has additional seating for another 2. Coffee service includes both a K-Cup maker, a traditional coffee maker, a teapot, and a pour-over coffee maker. We provide ground coffee and various K-Cups, sweetener and creamer packets. You’ll also find a blender and crock pot tucked away. WIFI & CELL SERVICE: Cell service is great at the home for most providers. Our internet service is very fast and very reliable. If we get wind of a cell or Wi-Fi outage, we will communicate that to you immediately. LOCATION: We are located approximately 1 mile from Disneyland Park on the corner of West Street and Broadway in the Historic Colony area of Anaheim. This home is not considered a Walkable location to Disneyland and we encourage you to either drive and park at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure or Uber to the park. Guest access Access to the home will be via a unique door code that we will provide to you the morning of your arrival. Other things to note Included in your cleaning fee is a damage insurance policy by Nationwide Insurance. This policy covers incidental and non-intentional damage to the home during your stay. We understand that accidents happen and we do not want you to stress if something breaks or gets damaged in the course of your stay. All we ask is that you notify us of any issues as soon as possible so we can get them handled quickly and safely.
