Welcome to Sunset Escape, a newly renovated lakefront cottage 1.5 hours from Halifax with all the amenities of home. Perched up on the hill you will enjoy the most stunning sunsets over the lake. The lake has a rocky bottom and is perfect for swimming, kayaking, fishing or bring your boat as the launch is seconds away. Offering sleeping for 14 guests this is a perfect location for larger groups. Two bedroom cottage sleeps 8 & bunkhouse down by the lake sleeps 6 * see notes below about bunkhouse The space HOT TUB with large rear deck southern exposure for lots sunshine - A two-level, two bedroom cottage on sought-after Molega Lake with a walk-out basement boasts beautiful lake views from kitchen/dining room, primary bedroom and basement living area with a cozy wood stove. A covered deck off the kitchen is perfect for those raining nights and provides a nice shaded area for sunny summer days. The path leads you down the hill to the bunkhouse with a beautiful deck over looking the lake, this is also where you will find an outdoor firepit, firewood is provided. A wooden staircase will take you the rest of the way down to the lake for swimming and boating. We also provide two kayaks & life jackets to use at your own risk. Molega lake is also well known for its bass fishing hosting multiple fishing tournaments each year. Bunkhouse - the bunkhouse is a detached building with sleeping for 6 guests. For access to the bunkhouse there will be an additional charge of $75 per night added to your booking week of arrival (automatically applied to bookings above 8 guests) There is two double and two single beds in the bunkhouse, linens are not provided for the bunkhouse beds but we do provide comforters & pillows so you just need to bring your own sheets. Large deck, and ductless heat pump Things to Note: There is limited cell phone reception in the area but we have good Wifi with a pod boosts service to backyard and recommend turning on your wifi calling prior to arriving. The path to the lake is quite steep and might not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The cottage is located 4KM down a well maintained gravel road.
