(Sleeps 4) Only 10 minutes to Hampton University, Hampton Coliseum, Boo Williams, Langley Air Force Base. 30-45 minutes to VA Beach, Norfolk, and Williamsburg. The area is filled with historic charm, bars, and restaurants. Check our guidebook for nearby places to visit. This is a 1st floor unit. There is another unit above you, but you do not share any space. The space Many guests say the home is better than they expected and the pictures don't do it justice . I hope you will feel the same and absolutely love the space. This is the first floor unit of a house. There is another unit upstairs, but the two do not connect or share any spaces. We're excited to currently be adding on to the house to add more space and amenities for guests to enjoy. However, the addition requires construction and that brings some extra noise. While some noise can't be avoided the goal is not to disturb guests as much as possible, and if you have any major issues I'm here to help. What's currently included with the house: Living room and dining area: An inviting, open living space. There is a couch for lounging and a pull out bed for an extra spot to sleep. A full dining table is here for meals, hanging out, or playing games. The best part of this combined space is that everyone can hang out together when you're not out on the town. Includes: - Sectional sofa with pull out bed - Dining table with 4 chairs - Flat screen TV with Chromecast (stream Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and more from your device via wi-fi) and HDMI hookups Half Bathroom: The hidden gem that you will not find in many 1 bedroom rentals, is the half bathroom. If you didn't know it was there you would think there was an extra closet, but near the entry to the far left there is a half bathroom. A great bonus when you have multiple people or guests. Bedroom: This is your first stop as you walk toward the back of the house. The clean, minimalist feel invites you to easily relax after a long day. There is 1 queen size bed with a foam mattress topper that will cradle you through the night, pillows, microfiber sheets, and a comforter. **If you have multiple people traveling with you a queen size air mattress is available upon request, there's plenty room in the living room for this. There is also a pull out bed in the living room couch. Includes: - Iron & tabletop ironing board - Dresser - Closet with hangers - Alarm clock - Lamp Kitchen: Whether you need somewhere to store your snacks or to whip up a quick meal, this quaint kitchen will give you what you need. Includes: - Refrigerator & freezer (apartment size) - Full size electric stove - Set of pots and pans - Cooking utensils - Baking Dish - 5 cup coffee pot (in case you need that extra kick) - Dish Soap - Flatware - Coffee & Tea Full Bathroom: The last stop at the end of the hall is your full bathroom. This bathroom gives you plenty of space to move around as you get ready for the day or night. There is a full tub and shower. Soap and towels are included, but you can always feel free to bring your own. Parking: There is a driveway space and street parking available. TV & Wifi: There is a television mounted in the living room with HDMI access and a Chromecast. With Chromecast you can easily stream to the TV from your favorite device and apps just by connecting to wifi. **Frequently Asked Questions** Is there parking? Yes, there is driveway and street parking. Is smoking allowed in the unit? No, smoking is not allowed in the unit. When smoking outside of the unit guests are instructed to dispose of any remnants. Is there laundry? No there is no laundry on site. Nearby locations are provided in the house guide. Do you include extra sheets? There is an extra set of sheets available for the bed or to use with the air mattress. How far is the house from Hampton University? 1.1 miles - approx. 5 minutes driving, 20 mins. walking How far is Boo Williams Sportsplex? 4 miles, 10-15 minutes driving. This is almost a straight drive down Armistead Ave. from the property. Are pets allowed? Pets are generally not allowed, but may be considered for short term stays with an additional fee. Weight & number of pet restrictions apply. Guests with unauthorized pets will be charged an additional fee. Do you accept long term stays? Long term stays are welcome and receive a discount (shown at booking). If booking a long term stay include your length of stay, reason for extended stay, and # of travelers with your request. Stays longer than a week have a weekly check in to make sure everything is going well for you. ** There is a construction site in the rear of the property, right outside the back door of this unit. For your safety please use main front entrance only. Your privacy will be respected and construction should not disturb your stay. Guest access Guest will have full access to this space. This is the first floor unit of a duplex, but there is no access to the second floor from this unit. Full access includes living room, kitchen, bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, coat closet (entry), bedroom closet, and front porch. There are two closets guests will not have access to and the backyard is not accessible due to construction. The rear exit door is accessible, but guests are instructed not to use it unless it's an emergency. Other things to note There is construction in the rear of the unit, but generally should not impact your stay. There may be hammering, talking, and other noise that comes from people working.
