The location offers a perfect base for exploring the Peak District with a wide choice of walks or cycle routes from the door. Access to the Monsal Trail is just a 10 minutes walk away, and the villages of Litton and Tideswell are also easily accessible by foot. The space The Herdsman is a charming one-bedroom shepherds hut with a shower room, kitchen, and lounge area with wood burning stove and outside terrace where you can sit and admire the views. Inside space: - Bedroom with cosy double bed, all linen provided, radiator, under-bed storage, hanging space for clothes, mirror and hairdryer - En-suite shower room with heated towel radiator, towels & toiletries - Kitchen area which includes sink, 2-ring induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, mugs, glasses and tea, coffee & sugar - Lounge area has 2 seater sofa, nest of tables, radiator and wood burning stove with logs, kindling, firelighters & matches Surrounded by breath-taking scenery the Herdsman is an idyllic place to hideaway with a loved one and relax on the terrace as you watch our herd of cow’s graze and the amazing sunset over the Wye Valley, all you will need to add is a glass of your favourite tipple. Outside space: - Spacious private terrace with table and chairs and spectacular views - Outdoor lighting - Private Parking space next to the hut Local area The hut is ideally suited to those who enjoy the outdoors with a wide range of walking and cycling routes on offer. The village of Litton is just a 20 minute stroll away where the local shop stocks all essential groceries and Red Lion pub serves lovely homemade food. Just further afield is the village of Tideswell where there are many cafes, pubs and restaurants to choose from. The area is surrounded by many picturesque villages and market towns that are just a short drive away including Bakewell, Buxton, Eyam and Castleton. Guest access The Herdsman is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Access to the hut is via a driveway where there is parking available next to the hut.
