Foraging Orange vintage 60's camper near Rafting!

Description

Stay in our Foraging Orange 60s vintage camper! Enjoy the sounds of nature & tranquility. Sit by the fire and enjoy 20 acres of forest to frolic! Gaze at the luminous fireflies on property during firefly season and walk among the living stars! We were featured on the TV show "Homestead Rescue" S11 E4 "Tennessee Unplugged" Minutes from Martha Sundquist State Forest, a 45 min scenic drive from Gatlinburg, and hour from Asheville! The space Your adventure awaits, but first, just a few things to know to help get ready for your stay! Staying in our 60's Foraging Orange vintage camper is truly a unique glamping experience. Enjoy the morning song birds with a cup of tea or coffee made in your French press! Dogs are allowed, but please add them to your booking if you are bringing your four-legged friend! They must be kenneled if they will be alone in the camper, but we highly suggest they join your adventures, as this is a vintage camper in almost original condition. Please take note that we are located in the Appalachian mountains and you will encounter steep mountains, some gravel roads, animals, bugs, etc. Please be prepared for camping in the woods! If you prefer a luxury experience, camping in the woods is not for you! Sorry, but, due to some guests expecting an absence of mountains, animals, or bugs, we must specify. Your camper has running water fed from our mountain spring. This is delicious drinking water, enjoy! All lights are run off solar, so be frugal and make sure to conserve power. The solar system also allows you to charge phones and other USB charging devices. You may use the plug in the bathouse if needed to charge devices as well. (no hairdryers or any other plug-in devices that have a heating element) Propane is used to heat the camper in the winter as well as for the stove top and oven. Please notify us if you would like the heat turned on. (Turn the propane on outside to cook if it's not already on for the heat.) Your camper features an antique icebox! Simply bring a bag of ice, place it on the ice shelf to cool the box, and fill it with your food! The icemelt will drain outside of the camper automatically. Make sure to refill ice as needed to keep your icebox cool. A bathhouse with a flushing toilet is a short walk from your camper. A hot bath in a clawfoot tub while looking out a huge window into the forest allows you to enjoy nature while bathing. Our outdoor bamboo waterfall shower is rustic and allows you to shower amongst the trees. The water is from our mountain spring, so it stays a cold temperature. This is refreshing during hot days! You are welcome to have a campfire in your sites firepit. Feel free to forage already fallen wood (that is not covered with moss) on the property. Please do not disturb or cut down any live foliage and do your best to stay on paths. If you choose to bring your own wood, ONLY buy wood in the local area. Bringing wood from other areas risks introducing invasive species and pests into the ecosystem. Starlink Wifi is available at the camper. Sometimes wifi will go out or be slow temporarily due to inclement weather (because it is satellite). Guest access You have access to trails and mountain views throughout our 20 acres. Feel free to wander and discover our property. We are still developing trails, so pardon our continued development. Other things to note Water lines may freeze in winter.
