You will enjoy our quaint cottage by the sea, equipped with modern amenities. Sunrise has been recently renovated while keeping it's original charm. It has spectacular views of the Bay of Fundy, Campobello Island & Quoddy Head while sitting on it's new spacious lower and upper deck overlooking the salt marsh. The space Sunrise is an older 1900 cottage that has been recently updated while still giving you that classic old Maine experience. Sunrise comfortably fits up to 5 + guests. Two bedrooms are shared on upper level of the cottage. The bedrooms overlook the bay or the ever changing tides through saltwater marsh. The king bedroom has their own personal upper level deck to enjoy that breath taking view that words or photos can not convey. On a clear sunny day, Grand Manon Island can be seen in the distance 8 nautical miles away. The lower level has the bathroom, kitchen and dining/living room. It also includes a spacious lower level deck where meals can be enjoyed while taking in the view. The cottage is equipped with 300 speed internet for video conferencing. Please note: There is no smoking of any kind in the cottage. Thank you. Guest access Guests will have full access to the whole cottage, as well as the back yard. Sunrise cottage path is the right of way down to the water. Once down to the water, you will have full access to walk up and down the shore line. If you take a left at low tide, walk .3 miles on the shoreline, you will be able to access a long pebble beach that dogs and humans love! At high tide, you may have to walk on the road back to your cottage. There is another right of way path next to Sunrise cottage, please do not use the longer path, that is not on the property. Sunrise cottage path is marked for your convenience. Other things to note Please note for guests and animal safety: The open stairwell to the upper level is steep for small dogs to safely climb. The breed size is limited because of the small cottage space, and risk of injury. It is best to carry a small dog upstairs vs. letting it climb the steep stairs. (Potential knee injuries.) We advise using crates for safety on the base floor and to keep them out of the upper level. We want your pet to feel at home while keeping it safe. The pet fee for a 3 day stay is $125.00 per dog. Beyond 3 days, a charge $8.00 per day will be adjusted in the resolution center due to extra cleaning cost. We do ask if you book a pet, please use flea and tick treatment prior to arrival. Maine is known for high Lyme deer ticks disease, best keep your pet protected. There are dog bowls and waist bags provided in entry way. For safety purpose please leash your pet while outside due to Eagles and predators. Please use the back lawn and towards the water or meadow path to walk your dog. This beautiful area is shared with neighbors, best keep your pet with you. Please note that the driveway is a right of way path that is shared with the neighbors. We ask you not to use the front yard excercising your pet for neighbors convenience.
