The Funky Monkey Cottage in Fondren!

The Funky Monkey is a cozy, whimsical, historic cottage brimming with charm in the heart of Fondren! The perfect spot for a quiet romantic weekend, a last-minute getaway, or a family trip to the famous Hal's St. Paddy’s day parade. Within walking distance to local restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, movie theatre and music venues and a short drive to all major medical facilities, universities and museums.) The Funky Monkey Cottage is the most unique spot for your Jackson adventure! The space Warm jewel tones, luxe fabrics, and sleek midcentury modern furnishings welcome you to this historic cottage in the heart of Fondren. Featuring a super comfy California-King sized bed, sleeper sofa (queen), spacious and fully-equipped kitchen* with eat-in bar, and high-speed Fiber Wi-Fi and smart tv. Enjoy morning coffee on a sunny, private patio. Off street parking as well as curbside parking available. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and outdoor patio. A parking “pad” is located to the left of the driveway after turn in in front of the flower bed. Guests are asked to not block the primary drive. Signage will be added in the near future for easier access. An electronic lock provides private access using a personal code. A backup manual lockbox with the key to the front door is located to the left of the front door. Other things to note The Funky Monkey is a whimsical project that grew from a fascination with monkeys that began for me as a child and that my friend Kim brought to life with the idea of listing the cottage as an Airbnb. The flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz mesmerized me at an early age. When refurbishing the cottage as an airbnb, Kim and I found the monkey portrait and the idea for the Funky Monkey themed airbnb was a “no brainer”. All the decor in the cottage is inspired by the portrait and our love of bright colors, fabric textures and monkeys. I hope you find it as fun and whimsical as we have in putting it together.
