Welcome to The Stargazers' Retreat at Visions on the River - A Tiny Home on the Riverside. This newly built tiny house is set along the banks of the Ohio River, minutes away from the historic river town of New Richmond, Ohio and a 25-minute drive to Downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. This space is perfect for anyone looking to retreat and reconnect with nature. Take part in our adventure! The space Our Property Nestled among 10 acres of trees and wildlife, this tiny house offers plenty of privacy. It is located on the same property as our home and a pole barn that operates as the office for our small business. If you are staying during the week, expect to see a few folks filtering in and out. We will be happy to help with any needs during your stay, while respecting your privacy. First Floor The first floor of this tiny house features a full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of storage. At the front of the house, there is a convertible seating/dining/sleeping nook that can be converted from a table to a queen size bed. High speed internet and Wi-Fi is available and a smart TV. Loft A staircase leads you up to the bedroom loft. Watch your head! The loft is just under 4 feet high and perfect for those who enjoy a cozy adventure. It may not be ideal if you are not comfortable bending over. Once you lay down, you will find yourself gazing at the stars through the two skylights placed above the bed for an immersive nature experience. Outside The outside covered patio overlooks the river and features a four-person hot tub, seating area, and grill. There is a fire pit/chairs just a few steps away - ideal for campfires in the summer and fall (we provide firewood and fire starters for 1-2 campfires). Also relax and enjoy an afternoon siesta in our hammock on the covered patio. For our guests free use, we have (4) kayaks located on our private dock that are shared with other guests also staying on our property. One in which is a tandem kayak. We do provide all paddles and a few life jackets that are adult small and mediums. We recommend providing your own life jackets if needing different sizes. If you would like to bring your own boat or jetskis you are welcome to tie up to our personal dock during your stay. Just give us a notice so we can be prepared. There is a public boat ramp and launch just 2 miles down the road in downtown New Richmond. (Please know we are unfortunately unable to rent our personal jet skis for liability reasons according to our insurance company since the Ohio River is considered a "commercial waterway" with barge traffic. Guest access We have free on-premise parking. Most GPS/Maps have no issue guiding you directly to our location. Other things to note What’s nearby? This house is less than a 5 minute drive to Historic Front Street in New Richmond, Ohio. There, you can enjoy the paved Riverwalk, stop for a locally brewed cup of coffee, shop at one of the local storefronts, or grab a bite to eat to support one of the local small businesses. We have plenty of recommendations to enjoy this small town. If you wish to venture into the city, we are a scenic 25-minute drive away from Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky, where you can find delicious local eateries, craft breweries, shopping, and outdoor experiences. CVG Airport is a 30 minute drive away. For those looking to visit the Creation Museum we are about a 40 min drive and the Ark Encounter about 60 min drive. -- This tiny house is perfect for a couple looking for a remote getaway or someone looking for a remote work space. This tiny house may not be ideal for children under the age of 5, as it is located close to a river. Children must be attended by an adult while outdoors at all times.
