Welcome to Casita del Sol, a charming two-bedroom, two-bathroom standalone guest house on the West-end of Simi Valley, a quaint and peaceful town. A short distance to local restaurants + shopping, and the Ronald Reagan Library and just 45 minutes from Los Angeles, Ventura or Malibu, Casita del Sol is a modern contemporary home perfect for a mini staycation or a long vacation. Relax, unwind and dine al fresco on your very own deck with garden views. The space You'll have access to the private, standalone guest house and backyard via a separate driveway & gated side entrance. The 900-square-foot casita boasts two primary bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms on either side of the house, with the open living room and full-service kitchen in the middle and French doors leading to the front patio. Adjacent to the kitchen is a stackable washer/dryer and pantry with toaster and Keurig coffee maker. Amenities include split AC/heaters in each room, an expandable four-seat dining table and an air mattress that can be set up behind the couch (upon request, or for parties of 5/6 people). The French doors are the main entrance and open to the wraparound deck facing the expansive (shared) well manicured garden. A BBQ on the side of the deck is available for guests. Work remote or bring family and friends to enjoy the Southern California sun. We occupy the main house at the front of the property. The lot is separated by a large backyard with meandering walkways, drought-tolerant plants and a gorgeous flowing fountain. We're happy to meet our guests, while also providing privacy and tranquility during your stay. Enjoy quintessential Southern California living at Casita Del Sol! Guest access Parking is in front of the trailer on the left hand side driveway. Enter through the side gate marked 1209. Walk down the garden path and arrive at Casita Del Sol. You have access to the entire casita guest house, private deck and garden. Other things to note No pets are permitted. We do have two small mostly indoor dogs (The Boys) that have access to the shared backyard frequently during the day. They do bark occasionally, but they mean no harm; and love meeting our guests. Please leave the side gate closed at all times so they don't wander out front. Let us know if your party has any issues with dogs. We have a zero-tolerance policy for drugs of any kind on our grounds, including medical marijuana and smoking, and you'll charged a 'deep clean' fee for any waste or odor upon your departure. We have a 'no parties' policy in place, however we're open to you hosting intimate gatherings with formal notice in advance of your stay (we've had guests host celebratory brunches and dinners, and bridal parties put wedding bouquets together). If you host, please clean up afterwards and dispose of all trash in the bins near the gated entrance. Accidents happen. If an item of ours becomes damaged or broken, please notify us immediately so we can replace it. Our longtime house cleaners take pride in their business, and we ensure our casita is well-sanitized before and after each guests stay. Contact us with any questions you have.
