With comfortable office chairs and plenty of space, this room is perfect for remote working and creative workshopping. BATHROOM — The bathroom has been updated with a reclaimed wood vanity and stunning modern sink, new fixtures, and limewashed walls. The shower is fitted with a water filter to soften the desert water and nourish your hair and skin, and the tub allows for a nice long soak in the evening. Enjoy the Tushy Bidet and Public Goods toiletries for a touch of luxury. LIVING/KITCHEN/DINING — Our open living concept invites you to spend time together while lounging or cooking a meal for 4 in our fully equipped chef's kitchen, stocked with spices, oils, and all the cooking utensils you could need. Enjoy the full coffee bar, complete with espresso machine, v60, Chemex, french press, and freshly roasted coffee as well as sugar, tea, and more. The dining area is spacious and open for long nights of good conversation, and the living area is comfortable and cozy, with many board games and puzzles to entertain yourself. Or just kick back and stream a good movie on our 55inch TV! We've also installed a filter under the sink to provide clean, filtered drinking water from the cold side of the tap. Our home is equipped with a high-power evaporative cooler (perfect for hot summer days) and a mini-split system AC/heater in the main living area to keep the house at the optimal temperature year round. OUTDOOR AREAS — The front yard provides a perfect coffee drinking spot. Sit on the porch swing and watch the birds dance around in the trees and gardens. Enjoy the spacious backyard under the covered pergola, roast up some fresh farmers' market produce on the BBQ, or kick back and enjoy the fire pit (seasonally allowed). The outdoor couch and egg chair provides a delightful space to rest and relax! OUTDOOR SHOWER — Rinse and rejuvenate under the stars in our rustic outdoor shower, complete with biodegradable soap and hot/cold water settings. The cactus and succulents in the shower are watered whenever you use the shower. This is our favorite feature of our backyard, and we think you'll love it too. LAUNDRY — We do not have guest access to on-site for laundry, but there is a wonderful laundromat just a few blocks away in downtown. Grab a bite to eat next door at Natural Sisters or The Dez while you wait! PLANTS & WILDLIFE — Joshua Tree is home to many unique species of animals and plants. If you're lucky in the mornings you can spot the quails in the front yard, the occasional roadrunner on his morning hunt on the street, and the wild variety of inspiring desert flora. This also means there is extra care to be taken with open doors and windows (and leaving food scraps outside) as coyotes love to roam our neighborhood. NEIGHBORHOOD — We're perfectly situated in the heart of Joshua Tree, considered to be one of the best neighborhoods in town. We're only a few minutes walk from downtown, but far enough away to avoid the noise. If you want the desert experience but also the amenities that come as a luxury here in the desert, this neighborhood is perfect. We're surrounded by full-time residents on all sides, so there are always people looking out for one another which makes this great for a solo/cautious traveler, but with that said, if you're looking for a party house, this is not it. Guest access Larrea Ranch is a private property with a fully enclosed back/front yard and no shared spaces, so you will have the place all to yourself. We do have a garage on-site that is not accessible for guests at this time. Other things to note WE ARE PET AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY: PETS — Please request with us beforehand if you are wishing to bring your dog along. We allow pups on a case-by-case basis, out of respect for our neighbors, as well as family, friends and guests who have pet allergies. We also charge a $50 pet fee. FAMILIES — We have a portable high chair, toys, a Pack-and-Play, and BPA free dinnerware for children. There is plenty of space in both bedrooms to host them next to you while you sleep. We also have a low-to-the-ground bathtub for parents who want to bathe their little ones (we do not have any baby bathing chairs for hygiene reasons, so please bring your own). NOISE — We are located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by many long-term residents who call the desert their full-time home. Please be EXTRA considerate of them and keep any outdoor noise to a reasonable level. We can receive hefty fines for violations of local noise ordinances, so please be respectful and remember that Larrea Ranch is not a party house. LANDSCAPE — Joshua Tree is a wild place and is unlike cities or suburbs. With that comes incredible beauty, but additional respect and consideration for the landscape around you is necessary. We advise you to take your shoes off before you come inside as Joshua Tree has many "goat heads" (painful little spikes) and cactus needles that can track into the house and be very painful to step on SEPTIC — We are also on septic out here, so PLEASE only flush toilet paper down the toilet. We also don’t have a garbage/food disposal, so please discard leftover food waste and coffee grounds into the trash cans provided. Please do not leave food or food scraps outside, as it will attract ants. Registration Details CESTRP-2022-01059
