Enjoy the good life at this peaceful yet centrally located and comfortable house. Nestled between a city park and a small grade school, it is both a delightful getaway and only a short walk from the vibrant downtown and OU campus. Birdsong and breeze through the trees will regale you on the porches and decks, but the Norman community and nightlife await you just blocks away! In tribute to our family’s love for reading and writing, you will find the spacious office stocked with a lending library. The space With plenty of space and extra add-on rooms, you will have choices of where to enjoy each meal, activity, and downtime. Whether you choose to enjoy your coffee in the cozy kitchen nook, the dining room table, the living room with the bigscreen TV, the front porch, the back breezeway, or the deck, you will feel relaxed and right at home. The two bedrooms are comfortably spacious and well-appointed with all of the amenities. The convertible sofa is very easy, indeed, to convert, and comfortable to sleep on if you don't mind a firm type mattress. The living area has plenty of seating for watching movies or sporting events on TV. The main bathroom is VERY spacious and modern. The guest bathroom is normal sized and has everything you need. Although the house is a vintage 1920, it has been fully updated and remodeled to suit the modern lifestyle. There is also a spacious office/library and two dedicated desks where one could work or reflect, and plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy a book and cup of tea. Everyone who enters the house ends up falling in love with it. Guest access You'll be able to use the entire space, including the two car garage if you want to park there. There are three lovely outdoor lounging/dining areas--the front porch, the back breezeway, in case of inclement weather, and the back deck. The university clock tower chimes and daily songs will regale you softly throughout the day. Other things to note This place is well suited for many purposes. If you're coming for OU football games or other sporting events, you won't have to worry about traffic or parking because the stadium is just a 15-20 minute walk from the house. And yet after the game, you'll be tucked away from the pandemonium of the campus whenever you're ready to come home. The house is also well-suited for more academically inclined visitors to OU or for anyone who would like to spend some of their time working or quietly reading in the dedicated office/library space. We also provide WiFi, a bigscreen TV with cable, a lending library, and games and puzzles. Downtown Norman and the OU campus are both about a 10-15 minute walk away, or few minute drive, and provide two different takes on the restaurant, bar, and shopping scene. Plan to enjoy both if you can during your stay! There is also plenty of outdoor space to enjoy, with a porch, a breezeway, a deck, and a front and backyard. While the house interior has some tight corners and obstacles for a wheelchair, it isn't impossible and there is a ramp entrance from the garage. The ramp could also be useful for other types of mobility limitations that do not involve a wheelchair. We'd love the house to be as accessible as possible to everyone so let us know if we can help.
