La Pine is a quaint small town of about 1,700 people and is the little sister to the more popular and crowded city of Bend. La Pine sits at a higher elevation than Bend and is surrounded by forest, rivers and big sky. No matter which direction you travel, there are many activities all year round. The town may not be as attractive as others when viewed from the highway but once you visit a restaurant or store, you'll be greeted by some of the friendliest people in the Pacific Northwest and quickly develop a fondness of the area. There are great advantages of rural life...quietude, dark nights, wildlife. However, there are also some disadvantages....unplanned power outages, slow internet, reduced business hours, limited ride share or public transportation. It's all part of the adventure! Sit back and enjoy life at the Barn! Mosquitos - no one likes them but they are part of early summer in Central Oregon. We have the property professionally treated with an environmentally friendly mosquito repellent/fog. This service ensures that our guests are comfortable during the mosquito season. However, you may encounter them and bug spray is recommended. DCCA # 824852
