Description

Come enjoy the country life in the Alazan community just 6 miles out side of Nacogdoches and a 10-12 minute drive to Stephen F. Austin State University. The cottage is also located 2 miles from Lake Nacogdoches. We are a proud 3 generation SFA Alumni family. Extended stays welcomed. Discounts offered. The space Oak Hill Cottage is located on the 100 acre Mac J Ranch in the Alazan community. It shares this property with two more of our Airbnb’s: The Ranch House and Tall Pines Cabin. Oak Hill Cottage is situated on the original El Camino Real trail and is six miles from Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas and Stephen F. Austin State University. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the second with a full size bed. It has a full kitchen with full size refrigerator and a breakfast area with a small table. Full size washer and dryer are available. Standard TV is included as well as WiFi, although it is in the country and may not always have the strongest signal. You’ll have covered parking for two vehicles along with plenty of additional parking for boats, etc. You’re likely to see cattle in the back pasture along with wildlife common to the area. Nearby Lake Nacogdoches, 2 minutes away, offers trophy bass fishing as well as water sports activities. Guest access Guests will have full access to the cottage and immediate yard around it. This is a working cattle farm, so we ask that guests please refrain from entering pastures or any building on the property. Other things to note Large oak trees surround Oak Hill Cottage and the front porch is shaded all day and offers a chance to relax and enjoy the breeze that normally blows most of the day. A fire pit in the back, overlooking the “East Patch” offers the chance to watch cattle graze and possibly see deer, coyote or the occasional feral hog down by the creek. Games such as horseshoes and cornhole can be enjoyed in the large yard.
