The Barn at Castle Hill Inn

A quiet, private self contained suite, close to all amenities, set in spacious gardens. The barn adjoins our home which was formerly a pub that closed 85yrs ago. This sandstone barn is over 250 years old, converted to the suite in spring 2022 it is located close to leisure activities for walking/cycling but also access to the historic city of Chester and shopping at the Cheshire Oaks Designer outlet village. Liverpool and Manchester both readily accessible. The space The barn was converted to a self contained suite in April/May 2022 and we have been delighted to welcome many guests who have given us fantastic feedback and a few recommendations on how we can make it even better, Our goal is to provide a centre for people to enjoy the area whether at leisure or working locally. Guest access Guests have the barn totally to themselves, it links to the house via our dining room, the connecting door is locked. We rarely use the dining room and don’t let out the suite when we are entertaining in it. The barn has its own access and guests come and go as they please. Other things to note The suite is on 3 levels, with a step from the entrance hall to the living area and stairs up to the bedroom, (toilet/shower at entrance level.) This makes it difficult for us to welcome guests who have significant mobility challenges. There is a food preparation area with microwave oven, toaster, kettle and fridge. We provide food for breakfast, tea/coffee etc High speed internet connection makes working from here an option . Please note: We are happy to welcome guests with a dog, however we had a bad experience of a guest leaving a dog alone in the suite for some time , this resulted in the dogs distress and damage to furnishings. This means we insist that guests take their pets with them when they leave the suite. Our guests information pack lists local pubs/restaurants that accommodate dogs and owners.
