Description

Perfect size home for your family vacation, or 2 couples looking for adventure. Cook your morning breakfast in the newly remodeled kitchen that adjoins the great room. Step out onto the sunny deck that faces the open sunny woods. Hop on your bike or take a hike out the back door where you can catch trails to Burton Creek State Park, and the trails of TahoeXC. Or drive 5 minutes to the best North Shore beaches of Lake Tahoe. Enjoy movie night in the comfy upstairs loft with sofas and TV. The space There is a master bedroom with queen bed and its own attached bath. The second bedroom also has a queen. The second bathroom is just down the hallway from the bedrooms. Upstairs is a spacious loft with TV and luxurious leather couches. There are two alcoves in the loft, one is set up as a home office with printer and extra monitor, and the second is a reading loft, or can be used as an extra sleeping area with the provided queen air bed. Downstairs is the great room which has a woodstove for any chilly evenings, and a slider that gives you access to the huge and private deck. The newly remodeled kitchen has a high end KitchenAid gas range/oven, and boasts gorgeous new granite counters and bar seating. Want even more space, don't need this much? See my profile page for other configurations. Rent the whole house including an attached unit above the garage, or rent just the unit. Guest access You have exclusive access to the main house. Connected to the house through a locked sound-resistant door and long breezway is a garage with a short term rental unit above the garage. You do not have access to the unit or the breezeway (though it's also available to rent -- see my profile to rent the whole house, or just the unit). Other things to note OTHER UNIT: There is a short term rental unit above the garage. There are no shared spaces with this unit. And there are lots of walls and twisty entryways that mitigate most noise from the unit. TV: The only TV input is a Roku streaming device. You are welcome to log in to your streaming services (e.g. Netflix) on this device. There is also an HDMI cable ready to attach your own Roku or other such device that you can bring along. The internet is fast enough to stream TV and movies. WINTER: There is a snow removal service that clears the driveway, and the county snowplows remove snow from the road. However, in winter, heavy snow can impact your ability to access the property if your vehicle is not properly equipped. Depending on the severity of the storm, 4 wheel drive may be required. Once the county clears the roads, most vehicles are usually good to go unless it's rare ice. In rare events of extremely severe weather and heavy snow, access in or out may not be possible at all. There are no refunds due to weather or closed highways / roads. SUMMER AND FALL: Depending on wildfire activity and wind direction, there can be smoky days during the fire season. There are no refunds due to smoke. WOODSTOVE: Guests are not allowed to use the woodstove. It's tricky to use unless you are experienced with such things. We have had guests in the past do things like put lighter fluid in it. We cannot risk the fire danger. PARKING: There is parking for two cars only, on the driveway in front of the house, and the driveway in front of the garage on the left hand side so that another car can get in and out of the right side. Parking on the street is not allowed. Guest Requirements: All guests are required to have all AirBnb identification verifications and have prior positive reviews. If you can't instant book, that is because you don't meet the requirements. If you don't have any prior positive reviews, and meet the other requirements, contact us to see if we can make an exception
