Description
Completely unobstructed lake view, beautifully restored apartment from the 1800s, perfectly positioned on the lakefront promenade of Lenno, Tremezzina. Less than 200m to the ferry stop to Bellagio, Varenna, Villa Carlotta and the medieval walled-city of Como. Walking distance to both Villa Balbianello and Villa Balbiano. Relax with friends an aperitivo in an elegant 1920s stucco-ceiling living room, curtains billowing in the lake breeze… Pure Como. The space The apartment is located on the middle floor of three in a historic building and comprised of a large bright and airy living room with antique dinning table, designer Fantin kitchenette and a small private balcony overlooking the lake. Two luxurious bedrooms (one en-suite) and two modern bathrooms both with walk-in showers complete the apartment. For larger groups, two apartments in the same building can be rented together to sleep 10-12, subject to availability. Guest access We have one free reserved parking place just 20m from the apartment (not available on Tuesdays before 4pm due to a local market, but we can suggest alternatives). Leave your car and take a short stroll along the lakeside promenade in an area perfect for families with small kids or for those who want to eat out without the hassle of driving and parking everyday. Other things to note The apartment is in a prime lakefront position in the centre of historical Lenno in the exclusive central Lake Como area. The area is popular for walking (Lake Como 10km “Greenway” passes in front), popular for private boating and has several good restaurants & cafes in the vicinity. It is a lively and bustling area during the high season so there may be some noise from the street below. We also recommend to book the restaurants you like in advance during the summer season. If you need a taxi please consider to book it a week ahead too. Lake Como is beautiful all year round, but it is traditionally a seasonal destination, with the peak in July-August. During the quieter winter season (especially January-March) some but not all local restaurants and businesses will close down. We highly recommend a visit in the low season to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the lake, without the crowds, and we can recommend some special itineraries.
