Welcome to our special mountain farm retreat and animal sanctuary! You'll have your own private self contained 3 Bedroom converted American Barn accommodation. Immerse yourself in farm life as much or as little as you'd like. Meet and feed our friendly farm animals as they roam the spaces immediately around you. Enjoy the beautiful 270° rolling hills and valley views. Only 13 minutes from the M1 Pacific Highway and 30 minutes to Forster beaches. The space Enjoy your own private self-contained converted American Barn accommodation with a spectacular view. Featuring 3 bedrooms; two with queen beds and one with a single over double bunk suitable for kids. (Fold out mini double lounge bed available if required). The friendly Alpacas & Sheep are located in paddocks immediately adjacent to the accommodation so you can immerse yourself into the farm life as much or as little as you would like. I do daily feeding routines in the morning and evening and invite you to join me! Otherwise you're welcome to meet and feed the animals on your own time! Mobile reception here is excellent with Optus & Telstra and you WiFi with high-speed NBN Fixed wireless internet. 2.1 Bluetooth Speaker system and Smart TV is ready for entertainment. We're on situated at a fairly high altitude and there is always a beautiful breeze up here. Open up the windows and doors to allow for maximum breeze and enjoy the beautiful, comfortable breeze on even the hottest days. However you can also enjoy Air-conditioning in living space and ceiling fans. Your kitchen includes stove, grill, oven and microwave with a good sized fridge/freezer and plenty of cooking odds and ends to use. Enjoy some home made bread on arrival and a ground coffee machine that does hot and iced! Life moves at a slow pace up here and there are numerous spots on the property to lay down a picnic blanket and enjoy the view and sun in its various stages throughout the day. We provide a picnic blanket and basket with all the cutlery etc you need for the spot you decide to make your own. There is a veg patch that is in a perpetual state of evolving, growing, resting and re-doing. There is almost always something in there from herbs, fruits and veg to see as well as an abundance of interesting insect life all with a purpose and job to do! Some of course more welcomed than others :) Explore it at your leisure at any time but we'd also love to take you through and snip some goodies for you when your here so don't forget to ask about it! We love vegetarian cooking and for a reasonable fee offer home cooked frozen meals in the form of Indian and South East Asian curries, Pasta Sauces and Veg Pie filling (the kind of stuff that gets even better after freezing) in most cases all you need to do is cook the rice, pasta or pastry! For a farm visit to the beautiful mid north coast region where you get to feel like your in the middle of no where, you're actually right next to everything! Our location is absolutely prime for all times of year! We are 25mins to cool off at the closest beach in Forster, 40 mins to the beginning of the Barrington tops national park (which actually gets snow on its top in winter). We have rivers, water holes and water falls (some close and some further away) that can be swum in. There are couple of vineyards in our immediate area that offer beautiful wine. A very well stocked Foodworks (similar to IGA) and bottle shop only 12 minutes away in the town of Nabiac which also features the Nabiac Hotel (pub) with absolutely beautiful food. You can also find a moreish bakery, beautiful cafe and other nick knacks to explore in Nabiac. The Artisian farmer is a new roadhouse that has opened up and offers their own selection of fresh produce, bakery items as well as delicious day time dining. The Krambach Pub is only 8 minutes away and offers the real country pub feel and is always very hard to leave because there are so many people to say goodbye to! Of course the centre of the major town of Forster (30 mins) offers all its big chain shops and restaurants! Guest access You're welcome to roam the property and enjoy wherever you can get to on the whole 23 acres with the exception of the main house. Being on our own little mountain there are some areas to explore that are a little steep). We see tons of regular native visitors of the more common varieties like Wallabies, Honeyeaters, Fairy-wrens and Bell miners, through to the glorious Regent Bowerbirds. On some days, you may even spot the majestic Wedge-tailed eagles soaring above or Echidna. Other things to note Make sure when you're here you take a moment once it gets dark to go outside and turn off any lights and see the stars come to life. We regularly see shooting stars, and the Milky Way is always gleaming down on you. The wondrous sight never fails to evoke that awe-inspiring feeling of being humbled by the Cosmos.
