The 1000 sq ft cottage offers full kitchen w/coffee, tea & condiments. Washer/dryer, WiFi, games, on demand water heater for shower. BBQ & outdoor space. This includes roof deck for sunning and watching the views of the Puget Sound, Olympic mountains and the shipping lanes. All downstairs rooms are available except the garage, the upstairs artist space is not available to guests. The upstairs deck is available. Your hosts, Jeff & Marissa live in house at the end of the back yard. We respect your privacy, but are available to answer questions or offer help where needed. We have a young Dalmation/Shorthair Pointer female dog that is good with people, so be aware as you visit. The Sandy Hook community is at the south end of Whidbey Island. It has playgrounds, tennis courts, great quiet walking streets. There are a couple of marinas and beach access. Access to the water and at low tide, you can even walk all the way across Cultus Bay! There's a first rate distillery down the block, (definitely worth a visit to the boat house for a taste). Less than a mile away is the famous Bailey Corner store for a draft beer, a grilled sandwich or to listen to live music on Fri/Sat nights. A real Whidbey experience. You and guests will need vehicle(s) to visit this property. But, it is easy to drive to the towns, beaches and sites throughout the Island. From here, travel up the Island to experience all Whidbey has to offer. The Island is accessible from a fun, short ferry ride to Clinton (6 miles away) or driving across the bridge at stunningly beautiful Deception Pass (48 miles away). Parking for the Cottage is located on Olympic View Lane in front of the house. This is the next street down from Maritime Drive.
