Description
Our atmospheric cabin sits amongst the gum trees, surrounded by birdsong. Named after the Gububurras (Kookaburras) that share the property with us, it's only ten minutes walk to the Mount Macedon village for coffee or a short drive to find wineries, village markets and forest walking trails. Alternatively in the cooler months you can curl up by the fire and read or enjoy the view from the terrace by the fire pit. The calming effect of Guruburra on our guests is almost immediately The space The cabin is a cosy welcoming space with everything you need at hand. The views from every window onto our bushland garden provide abundant light and a very tranquil atmosphere. The cabin is located towards the back of the property set in a private part of the garden, away from the main cottage. Guest access There is a large cooking fire on the terrace in front of the cabin near the gully, that runs along the side of the property. Guests are welcome to use this fire for camp fire cooking. There is also a separate fire pit on the terrace overlooking the front garden for a fireside chat. Other things to note -We do have a steep drive with gravel at the base. It is best to take a run up and keep going gently forward without stopping onto the hard surface. -We are also on a septic system, so I would ask that guests not put things like tampons and wet wipe into the toilet, as this will jam up the system.
