Enjoy incredible access to hiking, mnt biking, river surfing, and Salida The space Hidden Arrow Cabin is easily accessed year-round from Hwy 50. Enjoy mountain views from the front porch, explore nearby trails, and enjoy dark and starry nights. The surrounding areas are beautifully rugged and just begging to be explored. Whether you hike, ski/board, kayak, fish, hunt, bike, or climb, you'll never run out of adventure. When you're ready to kick back, enjoy relaxing on the porch, taking in the view and fresh air, and grilling up delicious meals. The great room is spacious and provides ample seating for working and relaxing. Two main-floor bedrooms and the upstairs loft comfortably sleeps several adults. The cabin is well cared for and meets AirBnB and Chaffee County cleaning protocols. Guest access The entire cabin is yours. Other things to note ACCESSIBILITY: Located 15 minutes outside of Salida, Garfield is a small community just off Hwy 50, 6 miles from the Monarch Pass Summit. The road to the cabin is not paved but is plowed by the county in the winter. In winter conditions 4WD or AWD is recommended. 2WD may work, but have good tires. Traction laws may be in effect during your stay, so be sure to understand the requirements for Hwy 50 if there is a storm. SNOW SERVICES: if there is four or more inches of accumulation , our plowing service will come by. They typically arrive mid morning. If you are there, please help by moving your vehicle temporarily so the full driveway can be plowed. Due to the remote nature of the cabin, we cannot always shovel the steps and deck prior to your arrival. There is a snow shovel inside the cabin for you to use to clear a path to the door. There are 3 steps from the driveway to the deck. Look for the handrail to guide you. CELL AND INTERNET SERVICE: Cell service is not available in Garfield. Lag-free Starlink Internet provides seamless service. Please be sure to turn on WiFi calling on your phones when you arrive. WORKING REMOTELY: Starlink internet is a game changer for this remote location. Zoom without delays, just like you were working in the city. COFFEE: We provide a French press, mocha pot, drip coffee pot, and espresso machine and grinder. We provide Folgers and filters for the drip pot. If you prefer to use the other options, please bring grounds that suit those methods. FIREPLACE: The cabin has a gas fireplace that emits heat, but does not display a large flickering flame. Also of note; keeping the pilot light lit is difficult because it frequently blows out during the slightest wind storms. If you are unable to see a blue flame in the fireplace, that means the pilot light is out and unfortunately, will not be available during your stay.
