The space Hidden Arrow Cabin is easily accessed year-round from Hwy 50. Enjoy mountain views from the front porch, explore nearby trails, and enjoy dark and starry nights. The surrounding areas are beautifully rugged and just begging to be explored. Whether you hike, ski/board, kayak, fish, hunt, bike, or climb, you'll never run out of adventure. When you're ready to kick back, enjoy relaxing on the porch, taking in the view and fresh air, and grilling up delicious meals. The great room is spacious and provides ample seating for working and relaxing. Two main-floor bedrooms and the upstairs loft comfortably sleep several adults. The cabin is well cared for and meets AirBnB and Chaffee County cleaning protocols. Guest access The entire cabin is yours. Other things to note ACCESSIBILITY: Located 15 minutes outside of Salida, Garfield is a small community just off Hwy 50, 6 miles from the Monarch Pass Summit. The road to the cabin is not paved but is plowed by the county in the winter. In winter conditions, we recommend 4WD or AWD. 2WD may be just fine, but getting out of Garfield would require good tires. Traction laws may be in effect during your stay, so be sure to understand the requirements for Hwy 50 if there is a storm. Due to the remote nature of the cabin, we cannot always shovel the steps and deck prior to your arrival. There is a snow shovel inside the cabin for you to use to clear a path to the door. There are 3 steps from the driveway to the deck. Look for the handrail to guide you. CELL AND INTERNET SERVICE: Cell service is not available in Garfield. Lag-free Starlink Internet provides seamless service. Please be sure to turn on WiFi calling on your phones when you arrive. COFFEE: We provide a French press, mocha pot, drip coffee pot, and espresso machine and grinder. We provide Folgers and filters for the drip pot. If you prefer to use the other options, please bring grounds that suit those methods. FIREPLACE: The fireplace pictured in the listing is currently unavailable. SNOW SERVICES: If there are four or more inches of accumulation, our plowing service will come by. They typically arrive mid-morning. If you are there, please help by moving your vehicle temporarily so the full driveway can be plowed. WATER (Updated 8/1/2026): Our property relies on a shared well system for drinking and running water. Due to the severe Colorado drought conditions, some guests have experienced a drop in water pressure during their stay as the well cannot keep up with demand on the weekends. In the rare instance that this may affect your stay, we offer backup distilled drinking water, and a water cistern located next to the grill is available to fill the toilet. WORKING REMOTELY: Starlink internet is a game changer for this remote location. Zoom without delays, just like you were working in the city.
