The Chalet Grand Bend

The Chalet is ideal for hosting large groups. Bachelor and bachelorette groups are welcome! A max of 20 guests can stay at the Chalet, it is a commercial property zoned as a tourist establishment. The property is large enough to host a wedding! 1 acre of land surrounded by a beautiful heritage forest . The space MAX 20 GUESTS- large groups will require an account with positive reviews to make the booking The Chalet base cost includes the main room and 5 bedrooms attached. Each bedroom attached to the mainroom has a double bed and single bed. For larger groups or guests that want more space, 4 other bedrooms are available for an additional $250 each for the duration of your stay. These private outdoor access rooms have a double bed in each. To keep things flexible, groups are welcome to wait till arrival to feel out the space and decide if extra rooms are needed. Peak Season (May 24-Labour day) -$1100 Flat rate fee per night. -May-June, 2 night min -July-August, 3 night min Off Season (March-May, Sept-Oct) -$800 Flat rate fee per night. 1 night min ........... When you first walk in the front door you will be in the main room with a cathedral ceiling. The main room consists of a living room with five bedrooms attached and a kitchen. Behind the kitchen is the location of the washrooms, with separate toilets and tiled showers. Four exterior entrance bedrooms are also available. The living room is full of treasures, and interesting things to look at! Including a 70s style couch with a live edge coffee table. The dinner table has 16 seats available. For entertainment two TV's, speakers, board games, books and other items are available. The five bedrooms attached to the main room also have outdoor entrances. In total is ten beds attached to the main room. Each room has a double bed with a pullout single bed. The frames are not attached, the single bed frame can be elevated from off the ground but are not the exact same height as the double bed. All double bed linens are made for guests, while the single bed linens are kept in a drawer, allowing the bed to pull out easier. The kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need to prepare a feast. It has some unique items like a butcher block, spice rack, rice cooker, crepe + waffle maker, personal recipe cook book, plus much more. Next to the kitchen fridge is a breakfast station with oatmeal, tea and coffee. Adjacent to the sink is a dishwasher. Beside the kitchen is a walk in food pantry with a seconds fridge and space for storage. The building has three private showers and three private toilets available to guests. Four exterior entrance bedrooms are available for $250 each for the duration of your stay. Each of these bedrooms have private entrances accessible outside only. The rooms are simple with a double bed in each. Lockable by key from a lockbox at each entrance. Three bedrooms are side by side on the north side of the building. The forth room is on the south side of the building making it the most private room available. These rooms are great for guests that want more privacy/quietness. The property is one acre surrounded by a heritage forest with tall trees over 100 years old. Embedded in nature a lot of wildlife surrounds the property like resident chipmunks, squirrels and birds. The entire building is wheel chair accessible. Free parking- The parking lot is very large and perfect for hosting road hockey games! 10+ cars can fit in the driveway/parking lot. The parking lot is flat close to the house and has enough space to park multiple trailers plus your cars. Guest access Guests have access to a large parking lot, the entire building and 1 acre property. Every booking has access to the main room, kitchen, bathrooms and the five bedrooms attached to the main room. Four exterior entrance bedrooms are also available for $250 each for the duration of your stay. Other things to note ***WE HAVE 4 SECURITY CAMERAS*** Camera location facing: 1-firepit and north side entrances 2-front entrance 3-south side entrances 4-parking lot and back side entrance - fifth camera has been unplugged and is no longer active (abiding by Airbnb new 2024 rules). This was in the mainroom/kitchen. The first 2 years we hosted seasonal workers, this camera helped deter food theft between roommates and helped keep a cleaner mainroom/kitchen area -if an incident occurs a $100 fee will be charged for the time it takes to look over the footage from the cameras ***If police are on property due to disturbances caused by any group member apart of the rental , everyone will be kicked off the property immediately with no refund. (my local reputation is very important)*** $250 charge for violation of no pet rule. The property is home to chipmunks and many bird species, to preserve this location and give a unique experience to guests, no dogs or pets. $250 for damaging any trees on site. The trees are apart of the heritage forest surrounding the property and some are over 100 years old. Do not use them for axe tossing. $250 charge for violation of smoking indoors. $100 charge PER biohazard (body fluids) cleanup $250 charge for burning hazardous materials in firepit $250 charge for shooting fireworks on property $50 per towel missing or damaged. Please use mop provided to cleanup instead of towels. $100 charge for excessive littering outdoors Cleaning fee $50 an hour- an average booking takes around 5 hours to clean. If more cleaning is needed $50 an hour is charged to compensate for the extra cleaning Checkout is 11am. Later checkouts can be accommodated if requested. Cleaners need 24hrs notice if needing a later checkout. - Planned late checkout fee is $100 per hour. -Unplanned late checkout fee is $150 per hour to compensate for cleaners time waiting and a longer work day. Unplanned checkouts after 1pm will be a $500 fee minimum for sending cleaners home. Any checkouts after 3pm will be charged another night and be expected to still checkout that evening. Check-in is 3pm. A earlier check-in may be available if requested 24hrs prior the booking. The fee for a early check-in is $100 an hour. Please keep the orange stools and black chairs indoors. These are not to be used around the firepit area. $100 cleaning fee if cleaners need to clean chairs if used outdoors. Please keep the JBL sound system indoors. Replacement cost is $600 if damaged.
