A great central location on a quiet street in one of Austin's nicest neighborhoods, combined with a comfortable homey atmosphere and breakfast essentials provided. Two bedrooms with Queen beds, and two large sofas in the living room, can sleep up to six. The space Available for SXSW, ACLFest, F1 etc. . Conveniently located just west of downtown, only a ten to fifteen minute walk to the awesome restaurants, nightlife and galleries on west sixth st., and a short taxi ride (about $7 or 20 minute walk) to downtown, Twenty minutes by taxi to the airport. The area is very quiet, in a very beautiful, safe and desirable neighborhood, with plenty of parking. The 1940 house has lovely light and character, with arched doorways and hardwood floors. It is 1100 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms and one bath. There are two Queen-Size beds, and two large and comfortable couches in the living room if you need to sleep two more, plus an inflatable double bed. There is a 42 inch flat screen in the living room, and a 24 inch tv in the master bedroom. A pretty front porch is a good place to sit and have coffee. Kitchen appliances are fairly new, with a dual-function oven, and refrigerator with icemaker and cold water in front. As an older building, there is some wear and tear, but everything is in working order and freshly cleaned for visitors. Free Internet Wi-Fi, high-speed. TV has 21 channels, and streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime. Well-behaved animals welcome. The owner/artist will be staying nearby if you need help with anything. Buses run by house to Capitol, also north/south buses on Lamar Blvd. Uber and Lyft are in Austin, and there are local ride-sharing companies. Guest access Guests have full use of the house, driveway and front and back yards. There are four steps leading to the front and back doors.
