Little Rectory 2 bedroom Cottage Combe Florey
Little Rectory 2 bedroom Cottage Combe Florey
Description
Little Rectory...A two bedroomed cottage in the foothills of the quantocks and less than 20 minutes drive to the coast. There is a great thatched roof pub... The Farmers Arms approximately 8 minutes walk from the cottage with local cider, great food and a lovely outside eating area. Guests have exclusive use of a large, fully enclosed private garden located a short walk from the cottage via a side path. Other things to note Combe Florey is a small and peaceful Somerset village aprox 6 miles from Taunton, just off the A358 - the road that leads to the Quantock Hills and on to Dunster and Minehead. Quirky cottages made of the reddy-pink sandstone are found in these parts. If you have a stroll around you'll notice some curious buildings in the village, including an Elizabethan gatehouse next to the church. Combe Florey is well known for its literary connections - it's where Brideshead revisited author Evelyn Waugh made his country seat until he died in 1966; he lies buried in the churchyard.
